46 years ago devotees had the opinion heart transplant recipients do not live long.
The idea of heart transplants was to simply replace a diseased heart to allow one to live a normal life, they are NOT just thinking by changing the heart they will increase the duration of life, no, they are replacing a diseased heart with a healthy one.
The doctors know they have no control over how long one lives, no one knows that. Therefore to say a heart transplant recipient does not live long is a contradiction by the devotees.
The following is an example that some of the conversation on heart transplants, especially by the young devotees of that time (youth in there early 20s) with Prabhupada, were LIMITED by the time, place and circumstance of medical and scientific knowledge of the early 1970s.
Here is what Prabhupada said about heart transplant just 5 years after the first one was done in 1968
Prabhupada's excellent example is the heart organ is like a seat one changes for another seat when it is damaged. The soul is simply given a new seat.
This example by Prabhupada still stands today and will for all time
Morning Walk -- December 2, 1973, Los Angeles:
Svarūpa Dāmodara: Śrīla Prabhupāda, what about the heart transplant? The spirit soul is within the heart, but when the... in the medical science nowadays, the old heart can be replaced by a new one. So what happens with the spirit soul with the old one?
Prabhupāda: But that does not mean that new ones will increase their duration of life. That is our challenge.
Svarūpa Dāmodara: But the personality is changed?
Prabhupāda: No.
Svarūpa Dāmodara: Why not?
Prabhupāda: Why changed? Suppose if I sit from this chair to this chair, why I am changed? I can change my seat. It does not mean that I am changed.
Karandhara: Change the heart also. The heart can change.
Prabhupāda: The heart is seat, sitting place.
Svarūpa Dāmodara: But the new heart had spirit soul from the new one.
Prabhupāda: Spirit soul, new or old there is. But if you can prove by changing the heart you can increase the duration of life, then you can catch the spirit soul.
Karandhara: That they're not able to do.
Prabhupāda: That is their nonsense.
Bali Mardana: None of them have lived very long.
Prabhupāda: No, they cannot be. Because by karmaṇā daiva-netreṇa (SB 3.31.1), by superior arrangement, karmaṇā, you have got this body. So you have to live within this body certain age. So if you change the body, new, that doesn't mean you prolong your life. That is not possible. It is the duration of life, that is considered. They are thinking by changing the heart they will increase the duration of life. That is not possible.
Svarūpa Dāmodara: So it is some sort of artificial transmigration?
Prabhupāda: Yes, like that. That transmigration taken... That is already explained in Bhagavad-gītā. Just like a baby becomes a child, child becomes boy, boy becomes youth, like that. Transmigration it is going on continually. This is another type of transmigration. So it is a fact that by changing the heart the duration is not...?
Bali Mardana: No, most of them, they have lived, a very short times. But still is it a fact that the soul is transplanted from one body to another body?
Prabhupāda: That can be done, yes. Sometimes yogis, they can perform that better body, he transfers himself into that body. Just Śaṅkarācārya did, yes.
Karandhara: What they do, though, they wait till someone's dying or dead, and immediately after they die, they take the heart. From somebody who had the weak heart they transplant, change the heart.
Prabhupāda: So what...? There is no benefit.
Karandhara: But that does not mean that the soul from the old heart, or the new heart is being changed into the new body.
Bali Mardana: The soul has already left. (break)
NOTE - Bali Madana's comment that Prabhupada agreed with, claiming heart transplant recipients do not live long, is no longer correct in today's world. Back in 1973 it was correct.
No one knows how long one will live for or how many breaths one has, so for Bali Madana to say heart transplants do not live long contradicts Prabhupada's comments that , "It is the duration of life, that is considered". But who knows that?
And in anycase, today they DO live a long time.
It seems the devotee's comments are based on out dated pioneering medical science of 1973, just 5 years after the world's first heart transplant.
Today it is proved heart transplants are successful with the example of thousands of heart transplant people today in 2019.
Only in the beginning in the late 60s and early 70s was it surround by doubt due to being a new science.
Most today live normal long lives like Fiona Coots who had her transplant in 1981and today and has lived a normal life for nearly 40 years.

We chant Hare Krishna as the highest glorification of God, why is that? Because we are following in the footprints of Lord sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu.
We chant Hare Krishna as the highest glorification of God.
Why is that?
It is because we are following in the footprints of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu who only chanted the the Hare Krishna Maha mantra even though He also said there are millions of names of God you can also chant.
Srila Prabhupad explains as follows-
Srila Prabhupada - "Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu says that God has millions and billions of names, so any name is as good as "Kṛṣṇa," it doesn't matter".
Devotee - "So Srila Prabhupada, then why do we concentrate on just chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa Maha Mantra?"
Srila Prabhupada - "Because we are following in the footprints of Lord Caitanya and who only chanted these holy names -
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna
Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
Hare Rama Hare Rama
Rama Rama Hare Hare
Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
Hare Rama Hare Rama
Rama Rama Hare Hare
So this is why we are chanting this "Hare Krsna Maha Mantra", therefore we request you most humbly, there is no loss on your part, but the gain is immense. If you take to this chanting of Hare Kṛṣṇa, then gradually your misconception of this life will be cleared off.
You will understand your real identity and you will act in that way. And the technology is so nice that you may remain in your business, that doesn't matter.
Simply you have to chant Hare Kṛṣṇa. Suppose you are walking on the street. If you chant Hare Kṛṣṇa, nobody is taxing you, nobody is bothering you. But if by chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa, if you derive some benefit, why do you neglect it? That is our submission". (Lecture to Technology Students M.I.T. - Boston - May 05, 1968)
Of all mantras in the Vedas, one is called the maha-mantra, or great mantra:
Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna
Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare
Hare Rama, Hare Rama
Rama Rama, Hare Hare.
Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare
Hare Rama, Hare Rama
Rama Rama, Hare Hare.
The simple translation of this Maha Mantra is -
''Oh my Lord, Oh energies of the Lord, please my Lord engage me eternally in your devotional service''.
harinama harinama harinama eva kevalam
kalau nastyeva nastyeva nastyeva gatir anyatha
kalau nastyeva nastyeva nastyeva gatir anyatha
“‘In this Age of Kali there is no other means, no other means, no other means for self-realization than chanting the holy name, chanting the holy name, chanting the holy name of Lord Hari.’
In this age of Kali-yuga, chanting the mahā-mantra is the best way to get out of this Material World
Hare Kṛṣṇa Hare Kṛṣṇa,
Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Hare Hare,
Hare Rāma Hare Rāma,
Rāma Rāma Hare Hare
Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Hare Hare,
Hare Rāma Hare Rāma,
Rāma Rāma Hare Hare
Srila Prabhupada - ''Kṛṣṇa consciousness is not an artificial imposition on the mind. This consciousness is the original energy of the living entity.
When we hear the transcendental vibration, this consciousness is revived. And the process is recommended by authorities for this age.
This chanting of
Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa,
Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa, Hare Hare/
Hare Rāma, Hare Rāma,
Rāma Rāma, Hare Hare,
is directly enacted from the spiritual platform, surpassing all lower states of consciousness-namely sensual, mental and intellectual.
There is no need of understanding the language of the mantra, nor is there any need of mental speculation nor any intellectual adjustment for chanting this mahā-mantra.
It springs automatically from the spiritual platform, and as such, anyone can take part in this transcendental sound vibration, without any previous qualification, and dance in ecstasy.
We have seen it practically, even a child can take part in the chanting, or even a dog can take part in it.
The chanting should be heard, further, from the lips of a pure devotee of the Lord, so that immediate effect can be achieved.
As far as possible, chanting from the lips of a nondevotee should be avoided, as much as milk touched by the lips of a serpent causes poisonous effect.
The word Harā is a form of addressing the energy of the Lord. Both Kṛṣṇa and Rāma are forms of addressing directly the Lord, and they mean "the highest pleasure, eternal."
Harā is the supreme pleasure potency of the Lord. This potency, when addressed as Hare, helps us in reaching the Supreme Lord.
The chanting is exactly like a genuine cry by the child for the mother. Mother Harā helps in achieving the grace of the supreme father, Hari, or Kṛṣṇa, and the Lord reveals Himself to such a sincere devotee.
No other means, therefore, of spiritual realization is as effective in this age, as chanting the mahā-mantra,
Hare Kṛṣṇa Hare Kṛṣṇa,
Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Hare Hare,
Hare Rāma Hare Rāma,
Rāma Rāma Hare Hare
Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Hare Hare,
Hare Rāma Hare Rāma,
Rāma Rāma Hare Hare
Srila Prabhupada - ''When the superior energy is in contact with inferior energy, it becomes an incompatible situation. But when the supreme marginal potency is in contact with the spiritual potency, Harā, it becomes the happy, normal condition of the living entity''. (Purport to Hare Krsna Mantra The Happening Record Album 1966 New York City USA)
What is the best way to understand all these millions of temporary material universes (Brahmanda's) that all originate from the Body of Maha Vishnu, along with all the material bodily containers or vessels the soul (jivatma) is in and possesses?
Such material compartments or vessels the soul is in, also originate from the dreaming Body of Maha Vishnu.
The soul or jivatma is covered by these perishable material bodies allowing the soul to exist embodied temporarily in the material creation.
All souls enter the material creation from Vaikuntha (And not the impersonal Brahman as the less intelligent impersonal yogis believe)
They then take shelter as an individual unit within the Body of Maha Vishnu until He spreads them throughout His vast universes, giving such rebellious fallen souls suitable material bodily containers so they can experience their mistaken material bodies.
No souls originate from the Maha Vishnu, it is foolishness to believe souls originate from Him.
Maha Vishnu does however, provide ALL material bodily vessels to the souls who choose to enter the material creation.
Srila Prabhupada tells us sadly about 10% of jiva souls in Vaikuntha and Goloka Vrindavana do CHOOSE to leave the Spiritual Worlds and enter the temporary material universe of repeated birth and death.
This happens because all material bodily vessels eventually break down and wear out forcing the jiva soul to take another material vessel from Maha Vishnu to continue the search of for filled material desires.
Remember that Maha Vishnu provides all material bodies to the jiva souls who ENTER there material creation and absolutely no jiva souls originate from Him.
This decaying troublesome material creation is always in a constant struggle inflicted with repeated birth and death.
This material creation is NOT and NEVER was the jiva souls real home to begin with!
Nothing living originates from the dead material creation, all life enters the material world ORIGINALLY from Vaikuntha or Goloka Vrindavana as explained above.
Srila Prabhupada - ''When the superior energy is in contact with inferior energy, it becomes an incompatible situation. But when the supreme marginal potency is in contact with the spiritual potency, Harā, it becomes the happy, normal condition of the living entity''.
The "Happening Album" New York City 1966 USA
We should not try and make ourselves comfortable in these perishable troublesome decaying material bodily vessels!
Our only desire should be to get out of this decaying temporary decomposing place and go back home back to Godhead, back to the eternal youthfulness of our full potential and who we really are as an eternal youthful person (jiva soul) in Vaikuntha and Goloka Vrindavan.
We should not allow the material energy to trick us either and NOT desire to go to higher material heavenly planets or build comfortable Cities, Sky Scrappers and opulant housing on this world.
We also should not attempt to seek higher birth in a rich aristocratic family in the material world foolishly thinking such a birth will bring satisfaction, peace and happiness in this mundane world.
Such attempts to enjoy this mundane material world is really trying to build the Kingdom of God without God foolishly thinking we ARE the material vessel we occupy even though we see it decaying before our very eyes.
Such an attempt of permanent happiness is not possible in this material creation that is eternally in a state of decay, decline and inflicted with repeated birth and death.
We should all learn we are the individual jiva soul trapped within these temporary outer changing material bodily containers we are in.
Along with the illusion and silly belief that we will not die, even though people are dying around us all the time, is the sad delusion we are the material body when in fact we are NOT the material bodily container we are in.
We must seriously try to understand that all material endevours in search for happyness in this world will fail!
And will never NOT solve the problems of repeated birth, disease, old age and death.
So GET OUT OF THIS MATERIAL CREATION and "Get Back" to where you belong!
What we may be seeing is our own universe reflecting back on itself. Our material universe is possibly like a ''hall of mirrors'' making it look bigger than what it really is. This is because of the "Hall of mirrors" effect where different Planetary bodies are reflections of themselves when seen through the Hubble Telescope.
Could the many galaxies we see in our universe seemingly exist due to the ''hall of mirrors' effect?"
Could it be that we may be seeing is our own universe reflecting back on itself, making it look much bigger than it actually is? It's just like being in a room where the walls, roof and floor are made of mirrors and we are seeing, in actual fact are ghost clusters called galaxies which are reflections of reflections of our different 14 Planetary Systems
This material universe is far smaller than what it looks like through the Hubble Telescope how do we understand this?
Of all the galaxies we think we are seeing, in actual fact are ghost galaxies, reflections of reflections, its like being in a room where the walls, roof and floor are made of mirrors. Our Milky way is a mirage created by this ''Hall of mirrors'' effect.
According to Srimad Bhagavatam this Bhu-Mandala material universe we are in which is one of billions is only "4 billion miles in size" and only "appears" to be much bigger because of all the millions of galaxies we see through the Hubble Telescope,
What is therefore seen maybe reflections and mirages reflected from stars within the small 4 Billion mile diameter Universe we are in
We must also remember that the Bhu-Mandala Universe is actually trillions of miles deep within the outer Brahmanda universal spherical egg or dome covering it.
Recently in October 2016 within the scientific community many scientist are now saying it appears many of those galaxies seen through the Hubble Telescope are in fact a reflection of our own universe in space, a reflection from within our own small 4 billion mile diameter sized material universe with its 14 Planetary Systems we call Bhu-mandala
"Like in a hall of mirrors".
The Bhu-Mandala 4 billion mile diameter material universe is like a ''hall of mirrors'' creating the illusion the material universe is bigger than it really is, even many scientists now admit this. This ''hall of mirrors'' gives the impression our single material universe is a lot bigger than what it is.
The different movements of time called ''different dimensions'' that exist differently in each of the 14 Planetary Systems adds to this miss calculation of ''space and time'' size.
The universe is far smaller that what it looks.
Our single 4 billion mile diameter universe, just one of billions deep within and encased in the outer massive Brahmanda spherical dome or egg that is over 400 trillion miles in diameter and originates from Maha Vishnu, is known as Bhu-mandala is a flat realm in space made up of planets or spheres like our Earth planet covering the 14 Planetary Systems
When Srimad Bhagavatam talks of Varsas, Dvipas and Islands it means Planets in the ocean of outer space
Srila Prabhupada - ''Dvipas (islands) are planets in outer space'' (CC Madhya 20.218)
The Bhu-mandala Universe spreads out over 14 planetary systems that is almost the entire 4 billion mile diameter sized material universe we live in.
The 4 billion mile diameter Bhu-mandala Universe is encased within a massive spherical egg like bubble called a "Brahmanda" that has 7 external material layers surrounding the small 4 billion mile sized "inside universe"
The Brahmanda is a massive 44 quadrillion 444 Trillion 444 Billion miles in diameter.
It is obvious that the many galaxies we see in our single universe within our Brahmanda is due to this ''hall of mirrors'' effect"
What we may be seeing is our own universe reflecting back on itself.
Of all the galaxies we think we are seeing, in actual fact are ghost galaxies, reflections of reflections, its like being in a room where the walls, roof and floor are made of mirrors. Our Milky way is a mirage created by this ''Hall of mirrors'' effect.
The Bhu-Mandala Universe is also known as the ''Greater Earth Mandala" a universal expanse that looks like a flat disc of planets existing within the 14 different Planetary Systems (called Bhu-Mandala.)
The Greater Bhu-Mandala Universe is 6 billion 438 million kilometers in diameter (4 billion miles diameter)
There are two Earth Mandala's, the first one spreads out almost 6 billion 438 million kilometers in diameter (4 billion miles diameter). This greater Earth Mandala includes all the planets in this single Universe.
The second Earth Mandala is the small earth globe planet that is 40,075 km (24,860 miles) in circumference around the equator and in diameter is 12,742 km (7,917 miles).
Therefore the greater Mandala (Bhu-Mandala) is our entire Universe of 14 Planetary Systems existing deep within our "Brahmanda Universe" that should not to be confused with our ''small Earth Mandala'' which is the earth global sphere we live on.
Therefore there are two Earth Mandala descriptions in Srimad Bhagavatam.
1 - "The large Earth Mandala" called Bhu-Mandala which is our entire 6 billion 438 million kilometers in diameter Universe (4 billion miles.)
2 - "The small Earth Mandala" which is our round Earth global sphere, is a small Planet in outer space called Bhurloka that has a diameter of 12,742 Kilometers and is in the middle Planetary System as shown in the photo of the 14 Planetary Systems which is the Bhu-Mandala Universe.
So the large Bhu-Mandala Universe is our entire inner Universe known as the "greater Earth Mandala" that is 6 billion 438 million kilometers (4 billion miles) in diameter.
On the other hand the "smaller Earth Mandala" or our round Earth global sphere, is just 12,742 kilometers in diameter (7,917 miles), therefore our small Earth globe is NOT the greater Earth Bhu-Mandala.
Our Earth planet is a global round sphere!
Srila Prabhupada - "Within this material energy there are innumerable universes, in every universe there are innumerable material planets, and the earth is one of these planets. Thus we can understand what an insignificant part of the entire cosmos is this globe on which we live''. (Light of the Bhāgavata 47)
Srila Prabhupada - ''The floating of the planets in the weightless air is due to the inner constitution of the globes, and the modernized drilling of the earth to exploit oil from within is a sort of disturbance by the modern demons and can result in a greatly harmful reaction to the floating condition of the earth''. Srimad Bhagavatam Canto 2 Chapter 7 Text 1
Srila Prabhupada - ''Just like here, in this planet you see flat, when you go up, you see it is ball. But when you go up you see just like a ball.” (Lectures, Bhagavad-gita 2.12, Bhagavad-gita 2.12, New York, March 9, 1966)
The circumference of our earth globe around the equator is 40,075 km (24,860 miles) and the Earth"s diameter is 12,742 km (7,917 miles).
So NO WAY is our small Earth globe is the greater Bhu-Mandala Universe with its 14 Planetary Systems which is way to big to be our small Earth globe.
The greater Bhu-Mandala Universe is described in Srimad Bhagavatam's 5th Canto as being -
6 billion 438 million kilometers in diameter (4 billion miles in diameter).
And almost 20 billion kilometers in circumference.
This just happens to be the size also of our entire small Universe that is deep within and surrounded by a bigger Brahmanda egg shaped Universe that comes from Maha Vishnu with billions of other Brahmandas in all different sizes.
Our Brahmanda is massive being 71 Quadrillion 715 Trillion 715 billion kilometers in diameter (44 quadrillion 444 Trillion 444 Billion miles in diameter.)
And having a circumference of almost 242 Quadrillion kilometers.
So keep in mind that Islands mention in this chapter of Srimad Bhagavatam can also mean global planets in outer space like our earth planet.
Srila Prabhupada - ''Just like here, in this planet you see flat, when you go up, you see it is ball. But when you go up you see just like a ball.” (Lectures, Bhagavad-gita 2.12, Bhagavad-gita 2.12, New York, March 9, 1966)''
What we may be seeing is our own universe reflecting back on itself making it look much bigger than it actually is.
It's like being in a room where the walls, roof and floor are made of mirrors and we are seeing, in actual fact is ghost Planetary Systems that modem Cosmology call galaxies which are reflections of reflections of our different 14 Planetary Systems.

Our single Bhu-Mandala universe with its 14 planetary systems, is found deep inside and surrounded by a greater universal body called a Brahmanda.
The Bhu-Mandala universe is not to be confused with our ''small earth mandala'' or global planetary sphere we live on.
The large Earth mandala is not be be confused with our small earth planet global sphere within the Bhurloka planetary system.
The way to understand the size of the universal Brahmanda material universe that our smaller universe exists deep inside, it is as follows-
First, multiply the size of our 4 billion mile diameter universe by 10 to get the diameter of the first layer "earth."
Then multiply 40 billion miles diameter by 10 to get the diameter of water.
Like this all the way through the 7 elements.
1 -10×4=40 billion miles in diameter (earth)
2 - 10×40=400 billion for (water)
3 - 10×400= 4000 (4 trillion) (fire)
4 - 10×4 (trillion)=40 trillion (air)
5 - 10x40= 400 trillion (sky)
6 - 10x400=4000 trillion (4 quadrillion) (false ego)
7 - 10×4 quadrillion=40 quadrillion (total material energy)
So, our Brahmanda universal shell that houses our smaller almost 500,000,000 yojanas (4 billion miles in diameter) secondary universe, is 44 quadrillion 444 trillion 444 billion miles in diameter, or double that if the figure is measured from one side of the inner outer edge of our secondary universe inside the Brahmanda.
If this description was drawn to proper scale, our inner Bhu-Mandala universe would appear almost invisible at the center of the Brahmanda because of its massive size.
So in conclusion in this regards, our 4 billion mile diameter small universe is deep inside, and surrounded by a greater universe called a Brahmanda, that is 44 quadrillion 444 trillion 444 billion miles in diameter, or even double that size depending on how the Brahmanda is measured.
Srimad Bhagavatam - "Every universe is covered by seven layers—earth, water, fire, air, sky, the total energy and false ego—each ten times greater than the previous one. There are innumerable universes besides this one, and although they are unlimitedly large, they move about like atoms in You. Therefore You are called unlimited [ananta]." (SB Canto 6 Ch 16 Text 37)
Srila Prabhupada- "This verse describes the coverings of the material universe (saptabhir daśa-guṇottarair aṇḍa-kośaḥ).
1 - The first covering is earth,
2 - The second is water,
3 - The third is fire,
4 - The fourth is air,
5 - The fifth is sky,
6 - The sixth is the total material energy (mahat-tattva ),
7 - The seventh is the false ego.
Beginning with the covering of earth, each covering is ten times greater than the previous one. Thus we can only imagine how great each universe is, and there are many millions of universes." (SB Canto 6 Ch 16 Text 37 Purport)
As said above, our single Bhu-Mandala material universe is deep inside, and surrounded by a greater universal body called a Brahmanda.
Bhu-Mandala is not to be confused with our ''small earth mandala'' or global planetary sphere we live on.
Therefore, there are two Earth Mandala descriptions in Srimad Bhagavatam.
1 - "The large Earth Mandala" called Bhu-Mandala which refers to our entire 6 billion 437 million kilometres in diameter (4 billion mile diameter) material universe with its 14 planetary systems that is almost 20 billion kilometers in circumference.
Way to big to be our small earth planet.
2 - "The small earth mandala" which is our small round earth global sphere planet in outer space that has a diameter of 12,742 Kilometres and is in the middle planetary system known as Bhurloka as shown in the photo of the 14 planetary systems.
So Bhu-Mandala is the greater Earth Mandala or the 4 billion mile diameter material universe we live in.
This means the earth globe is NOT Bhu-Mandala because Srimad Bhagavatam describes Bhu-Mandala being almost 4 billion miles in diameter.
Also, certain terminologies in Srimad Bhagavatam gives the false impression our earth planet is flat which is absurd nonsense, the earth planet is a globe.
Srila Prabhupada - "Dvipas (islands) are also planets (globes) in outer space." (CC Madhya 20.218)
Srila Prabhupada - "Just like here, in this planet, when you go up, you see it is a ball." (Lectures on BG 2.12, New York City, March 9, 1966)
The circumference of our earth globe around the equator is 40,075 km and our earth planet's diameter is 12,742 km.
Way too small to be Bhu-Mandala, so NO WAY is our small earth globe Bhu-Mandala which is way to big to be our small earth.
4 billion miles in diameter happens to be the size of our entire single material universe according to Srimad Bhagavatam's 5th Canto

4 billion miles in diameter happens to be the size of our entire single material universe according to Srimad Bhagavatam's 5th Canto
Each Brahmanda a secondary material universe is also in, is almost spherical shaped.
An unlimited number of these Brahmanda greater universes come from the Bodily pores and breathing of Maha-Visnu, in different sizes.
The size of the Brahmanda and its secondary material universe deep inside it, depends on the number of heads there Lord Brahma has, some have 4 heads, like our Lord Brahma has, others have 10, 20, 50, 100, 500, 5000, even a million, it is inconceivable for our small brains to comprehend.
As said above, the Brahmanda outer covering of our inner material universe is enormous and has 7 material layers of gross and subtle material qualities.
Our Brahmanda is 71 quadrillion, 715 trillion, 715 billion kilometers in diameter (44 quadrillion 444 trillion 444 billion miles in diameter) and having a circumference of almost 242 quadrillion kilometers.<×>

Billions of almost spherical universal bodies (Brahmanda's) emanate from the Body and breathing of Maha Vishnu.
Billions of almost spherical universal bodies emanate from the Body and breathing of Maha Vishnu.
These massive Universes are called Brahmandas.
Furthermore, each Brahmanda Universe surrounds and encases a smaller Universe deep inside it where Garbhodakashayi Vishnu and Lord Brahma reside.
This inner universe called Bhu-Mandala houses the 14 Planetary Systems.
Srimad Bhagavatam tells us there are billions of individual "Brahmanda Universes" however, the sizes of the each Brahmanda Universe and its small inner Universes inside it, varies in size.
For example, our inner Universe deep inside our Brahmanda called Bhu-Mandala, is one of the smallest and is "4 billion miles (500,000,000 Yojanas) in diameter"
According to Srimad Bhagavatam's 5th Canto, there are 14 Planetary Systems in our in our 4 billion mile diameter Bhu-Mandala Universe, but the amount may be different in others.
Within the stem of the lotus coming from the naval of Garbhodakashayi Vishnu, there are fourteen divisions of planetary systems created by Lord Brahma, and our earth spherical planet is situated in the middle of the stem.
Srila Prabhupada - ''We have to imagine that these universes (Brahmandas), which according to our limited knowledge are expanded unlimitedly, are so great that the gross and subtle ingredients—the five elements of the cosmic manifestation, namely
1 - Earth,
2 - Water,
3 - Fire,
4 - Air,
5 - Sky,
6 - Total material energy,
7 - False ego.
All are not only within the universe but cover the universe in seven layers, each layer ten times bigger than the previous one.
In this way, each and every universe is very securely packed, and there are numberless universes. All these universes float within the innumerable pores of the transcendental body of Mahā-Viṣṇu.
It is stated that just as the atoms and particles of dust are floating within the air along with the birds and their number cannot be calculated, so innumerable universes are floating within the pores of the transcendental body of the Lord. For this reason, the Vedas say that God is beyond the grasp of our knowledge. '' Krsna Book 87
We CANNOT see from one universe to another, this is because our individual universe is surrounded and encased by 7 thick material layers that is our outer egg shaped universe called a Brahmanda
And yes, it IS impossible to see the millions of other Brahmandas outside our inner universe (inside a massive Brahmanda) because of being surrounded by 7 thick material layers that only rare mystic yogis and advanced devotees like Arjuna can see and pass through.
So of course Krishna and Arjuna did not encounter such limitations we experience by the combination of these elements like earth, water, fire all gross elements as Bhagavad Gita explains.
Srila Prabhupada - ''The Lord is not visible to the eyes of ordinary men, those who are beyond the covering layers because of their transcendental devotional service can still see Him''. Krsna Book 87
We cannot see through our Brahmanda that surrounds and encases our small universe, Srila Prabhupada is clear on this
Srila Prabhupada - ''Lord Krishna and Arjuna crossed over the great region of darkness covering the material universes. Arjuna then saw the effulgence of light known as the brahmajyoti. The brahmajyoti is situated ''outside the covering of the material universes'', and because it cannot be seen with our present eyes, this brahmajyoti is sometimes called avyakta''. Krsna Book, 89
Srila Prabhupada - ''Each universe is covered by various layers of material elements (The 7 layers of the outer Brahmanda covering), and therefore although the universes are clustered together, we CANNOT see from one universe to another. In other words, whatever we see is within this one universe. In each universe there is one Lord Brahmā, and there are other demigods on other planets, but there is only one sun''.- Srimad Bhagavatam Canto 5 Chapter 21 Text 11, Purport
Srimad Bhagavatam Canto 6 Chapter 16 Text 37 -
''Every universe is covered by seven layers—earth, water, fire, air, sky, the total energy and false ego—each ten times greater than the previous one. There are innumerable universes besides this one, and although they are unlimitedly large, they move about like atoms in You. Therefore You are called unlimited [ananta]''.
PURPORT
This verse describes the coverings of the universe (saptabhir daśa-guṇottarair aṇḍa-kośaḥ).
The 7 layers covering and surrounding our inner Universe called a Brahmanda, is made up of
1 - Earth,
2 - Water,
3 - Fire,
4 - Air,
5 - Sky,
6 - Total material energy,
7 - False ego.
Beginning with the covering of earth, each covering is ten times greater than the previous one. Thus we can only imagine how great each universe is, and there are many millions of universes.
As confirmed by the Lord Himself in Bhagavad-gītā (BG 10.42):
athavā bahunaitena
kiṁ jñātena tavārjuna
viṣṭabhyāham idaṁ kṛtsnam
ekāṁśena sthito jagat
"But what need is there, Arjuna, for all this detailed knowledge? With a single fragment of Myself I pervade and support this entire universe."
The entire material world manifests only one fourth of the Supreme Lord's energy. Therefore He is called ananta''.
SB 1.3.2, Purport:
The first puruṣa is the Kāraṇodakaśāyī Viṣṇu. From His skin holes innumerable universes have sprung up. In each and every universe, the puruṣa enters as the Garbhodakaśāyī Viṣṇu.
He is lying within the half of the universe which is full with the water of His body. And from the navel of Garbhodakaśāyī Viṣṇu has sprung the stem of the lotus flower, the birthplace of Brahmā, who is the father of all living beings and the master of all the demigod engineers engaged in the perfect design and working of the universal order.
Within the stem of the lotus there are fourteen divisions of planetary systems, and the earthly planets are situated in the middle.
Upwards there are other, better planetary systems, and the topmost system is called Brahmaloka or Satyaloka. Downwards from the earthly planetary system there are seven lower planetary systems inhabited by the asuras and similar other materialistic living beings.
SB Canto 2
The universe is divided into fourteen planetary systems. Seven planetary systems, called Bhūr, Bhuvar, Svar, Mahar, Janas, Tapas and Satya, are upward planetary systems, one above the other.

Srila Prabhupada - "Love me or I will kill you! Is that love? No!! Krishna does not want to be lover like that"
Srila Prabhupada - "Love me or I will kill you! Is that love? No!! Krishna does not want to be lover like that, real love is reciprocal" (July 8th 1976 in Washington, D.C.
Srila Prabhupada - "In Bengali it is said, ‘If you catch one girl or boy, ‘You love me, you love me, you love me.’ ” Is it love? “You love me, otherwise I will kill you!’ Is that love? So Krishna does not want to become a lover like that. Love is reciprocal, voluntary, good exchange of feeling. Then there is love. Not by force. Krishna does not want to become a lover like that, ‘You love me, otherwise I shall kill you!"
Vipina Purandara - “Why doesn’t Krishna protect us from the desire to leave Him and try to enjoy separately?
Srila Prabhupada - “He’s protecting. He says, “You rascal, don’t desire. Surrender unto Me.” But you are rascal; you do not do this”.
Vipina Purandara - “Why doesn’t He save me from thinking like that? ”
Srila Prabhupada - “That means you lose your independence. That is force, in Bengali it is said, ‘If you catch one girl or boy, ‘You love me, you love me, you love me.’ ” Is it love? “You love me, otherwise I will kill you!’ Is that love? So Krishna does not want to become a lover like that, on the point of revolver. ‘You love me, otherwise I shall kill you!’ That is not love; that is threatening. Love is reciprocal, voluntary, good exchange of feeling. Then there is love. Not by force; that is rape. Why one is called lover, another is called rape?” (July 8, 1976 in Washington, D.C.)

Should women cover their heads with their sari?
Should women cover their heads with their sari?
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: The question I have is often girls and women in India are bareheaded, they do not cover their head with their sari, why is that?
Prabhupāda: No, no. The system is when the woman is at the care of father she does not cover. But when she is under the care of husband she must cover. By dress you can understand what she is, whether she is widow, whether she has got husband, whether she is prostitute. Everything by dress you'll understand". Morning walk Mayapur january 20th 1976
