Does Krishna allow evil?

Krishna DOES allow evil in the material world.

The material creation is controlled by His expansions (representatives) Maha Vishnu, Garbhodakashayi Vishnu, Brahma etc

Krishna allows evil because He is obliged to forfill the desires of the individual jiva souls regardless of desire.

This is why there are so many different heavenly and hellish realities in the material creation.

The choice to do good or bad is the jiva souls decision, that is THEIR choice, not Krishna's, which can be completely different to what Krishna wants.

The fact is, Krishna does NOT interfere with the free will and personal choices of the jiva souls, even in Vaikuntha and Goloka Vrindavana!

If He did, then free will would not exist and the jiva souls would be no better than dead stone Prabhupada has told us.

Can we blame God or Krishna for so much suffering and death going on in the material creation?

The fact, NO we cannot blame God.

To start with, suffering and death is ALWAYS going on in the material world, but mostly hidden.

When Krishna says -

"Not a blade of grass moves without his will"

This comment includes "Krishna's will" that allows all jiva-souls, as part of their individual make up, to have the free will and ability to choose for themselves that Krishna does NOT interfere with.

This further means the jiva-souls ARE responsible for THEIR chooses and action and MUST reap what they sow, good or bad.

Krishna does NOT interfere with the jiva souls independence and free will, Prabhupada has explained this.

There is ALWAYS choice of how to act  in Vaikuntha and Goloka Vrindavan but after entering the material creation, becomes restricted due to the type of material body one is in.

Today, the Coronavirus is more out in the open and known to the public more because all of us around the world, have "stay at home orders" and the virus is constantly reported in the media, more so than other causes of death that are not greatly reported.

For example, even though a thousand people have died in America from Coronavirus, almost 3 thousand people died have died in car accidents in America over the same period.

In the material world so many terrible things happen, NOT because Krishna "personally" allows them to happen.

No, it is NOT Krishna's fault!

Why?

Because Krishna gives the jiva-soul free will and the ability to choose their own journey in life.

This automatically means the jiva-soul is responsible for their own actions, life after life, NOT Krishna.

Therefore technically this Coronavirus has nothing to do with Krishna spreading all over the world!

It is caused by the karmic reactions to the sinful activities the jiva's have "chosen" to perform in this life or a previous life.

This is important to understand and realize that we CANNOT blame God even for the suffering of what appears to be innocent children dying of so many different diseases.

What many do not see, is the "jiva-soul is eternal" and all the suffering in this present life, even as a child, is coming from what that jiva-soul did in previous life times that could number in the millions.

The bank balance of karmic reactions, good and bad, are stored in the subtle body that are accumulated from thousands of previous lives.

Such karma, good and bad, gradually unfolds to the present life we are living, and continue on to all future lives (material bodies) we enter into within the material universe.

God (Krishna) is not the cause of our suffering, we are by the selfish exploitive choices we have made in the past.

And technically Krishna does not create this material world, that responsibly is given to Krishna's expansion Maha Vishnu who then gives all managerial duties to Lord Brahma.

Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu is the combination of Krsna and Radharani in the form of a devotee.

Lord Caitanya comes "once" every 8 billion 640 million human years, His appearance is extremely rare. 

Gaudiya Vaisnavas consider Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu to be a combination of Lord Krsna and His consort Srimati Radharani.

This is because Krsna wanted to experience the mysterious love and devotion Radharani had for Him, therefore Radha and Krsna became manifest in the one Spiritual Body who is Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu.

Lord Caitanya appears in the form of a humble devotee who comes to this rare Kali-yuga as the Golden Avatar. This only happens in one Kali-yuga out of every 1000 Kali-yugas. 

Lord Caitanya's purpose is to save the fallen jiva-souls with the easiest method to return back home, back to Godhead.

As said above, Lord Caitanya only comes "once" in a day/night of Lord Brahma (during day light hours) in "one" Kali-yuga out of every thousand.

So Lord Caitanya appears "once" every 8 billion 640 million human years (Which is once in a 24 hour day of Lord Brahma).

The Gaudiya Vaisnava Acharya Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura had also found out the rare manuscript of Caitanya Upanisad of the Atharva veda section, which reveals the identity of Caitanya as Krsna Himself who is the source of all Visnu and Narayana forms.

The greatest spreader of the teachings of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu, His Divine Grace AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, is only now being recognized over after 55 years, as the greatest preacher of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu's mission, doing more to spread Krsna consciousness than Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu's closests associates while they were here on Earth in the 16 Century AD.

They only preached in small villages mostly in the Indian State of Bengal only because they never had the technology we have today of electricity, lights, Radio, TV, records, tapes, Planes. Trains, fast Cars, the mass printing of beautiful Books and magazines.

His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada on the other hand, has given Krsna Consciousness to the entire world.

He gave the entire world, beginning at the advanced age of 69 years old, both the teachings of Lord Caitanya and Lord Krsna through the many Books he had translated, as well as bringing 10s of thousands of disciples to Krsna Consciousness from

U.K.
Israel,
Russia,
China,
Asia
Australia,
New Zealand,
Japan,
Africa, etc

And finally, establishing Temples in almost every major City on the Planet including the Soviet Union, all in a short 11 years (from 1965 to 1977)

Srila Prabhupada - "Caitanya Mahaprabhu is the Supreme Personality of Godhead, but He’s Channa means "covered." Lord Caitanya is a covered Avatara, or special incarnation where Krsna and Radha are combined as the Supreme Couple and also appeared as a devotee. 

As said above, Lord Caitanya appears just in "one" Kali-yuga out of every 1000, which is also "once" in a day of Brahma or every 8 billion 640 million human years. 

He does not appear directly like other incarnations, such as Narsimhadeva, Vamanadeva, or Lord Ramachandra. He appears as a devotee.

Why is this so?

Because Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu is the most magnanimous Avatara. People are so fallen in Kali-yuga  they could not understand Krsna without the mercy of the Lord. Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu appeared to give that mercy to the fallen souls, who are so foolish that they can not take to Krsna consciousness.

He is personally teaching how to take to Krsna consciousness. And that process is this kirtana, chanting Krsna’s holy names." (Lecture in Mayapur on the appearance day of Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu: March 16, 1976)

Srila Prabhupada - "You appear in various incarnations as a human being, an animal, a great saint, a demigod, a fish, or a tortoise, thus maintaining the entire creation in different planetary systems and killing the demoniac principles. According to the age, O my Lord, You protect the principles of religion. In the Age of Kali, however, You do not assert Yourself as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and therefore You are known as Triyuga, or the Lord who appears in three yugas."(Srimad-Bhagavatam 7.9.38)

Srila Prabhupada - "The Lord tried to conceal His identity as the Supreme Personality of Godhead by representing Himself as a devotee, but His pure devotees could recognize Him by His special features. The Vedas and Puranas foretell the appearance of Lord Caitanya, but still He is sometimes called, significantly, the concealed descent of the Supreme Personality of Godhead."(Introduction to Cc. adi Chapter 3)

Reasons for Lord Caitanya’s Appearance

Srila Prabhupada - "According to the Vedic literature, the foremost occupational duty for humanity in this Age of Kali is nama-sankirtana, or congregational chanting of the holy name of the Lord.

The incarnation for this age especially preaches this process, but only Krsna Himself can explain the confidential loving service performed in the four principal varieties of loving affairs between the Supreme Lord and His devotees.

Lord Krsna therefore personally appeared, with His plenary portions, as Lord Caitanya. As stated in this chapter, it was for this purpose that Lord Krsna appeared personally in Navadvipa in the form of Sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu.

Advaita Acharya felt sorry for the condition of the world because even after Lord Krsna’s appearance, no one had interest in devotional service to Krsna.

This forgetfulness was so overwhelming that Advaita Prabhu was convinced that no one but Lord Krsna Himself could enlighten people about devotional service to the Supreme Lord. Therefore Advaita requested Lord Krsna to appear as Lord Caitanya.

Offering tulasi leaves and Ganges water, He cried for the Lord’s appearance. The Lord, being satisfied by His pure devotees, descends to satisfy them. As such, being pleased by Advaita acharya, Lord Chaitanya appeared."

Confidential Reasons for Lord Chaitanya’s Appearance

Srila Prabhupada - "The first purpose was to relish the position of Srimati Radharani, who is the prime reciprocator of transcendental love of Sri Krsna. Lord Krsna is the reservoir of transcendental loving transactions with Srimati Radharani.

The subject of those loving transactions is the Lord Himself, and Radharani is the object. Thus the subject, the Lord, wanted to relish the loving mellow in the position of the object, Radharani.

The second reason for His appearance was to understand the transcendental mellow of Himself. Lord Krsna is all sweetness.

Radharani’s attraction for Krsna is sublime, and to experience that attraction and understand the transcendental sweetness of Himself, He accepted the mentality of Radharani.

The third reason that Lord Caitanya appeared was to enjoy the bliss tasted by Radharani. The Lord thought that undoubtedly Radharani enjoyed His company and He enjoyed the company of Radharani, but the exchange of transcendental mellow between the spiritual couple was more pleasing to Srimati Radharani than to Sri Krsna. . . . Krsna is the transcendental male, and Radharani is the transcendental female.

Therefore, to know the transcendental pleasure of loving Krsna, Lord Krsna Himself appeared as Lord Caitanya, accepting the emotions and bodily luster of Srimati Radharani."

Activities of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu.

Srila Prabhupada - "After accepting the renounced order of life, Caitanya Mahaprabhu converted many karma-nisthas who were addicted to fruitive activities, many great logicians like Sarvabhauma Bhattacharya, nindakas (blasphemers) like Prakasananda Sarasvati, pasandis (nondevotees) like Jagai and Madhai, and adhama paduyas (degraded students) like Mukunda and his friends. All of them gradually became devotees of the Lord, even the Pathans (Muslims)."(Cc. adi 7.39, purport)

Imparting Transcendental Knowledge

Srila Prabhupada - "For ten days Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu stayed at Prayaga and instructed Rupa Goswami, empowering him with the necessary potency." (Cc. adi 19.135)

Srila Prabhupada - "Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu wanted to preach the sankirtana movement of love of Krishna throughout the entire world, and therefore during His presence He inspired the sankirtana movement." (Cc. adi 7.171, purport)

Srila Prabhupada - "Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu has freely given this love of Krsna everywhere and anywhere, even to the most fallen, such as Jagai and Madhai. What then to speak of those who are already pious and elevated?" (Cc. adi 8.20)

Srila Prabhupada - "Sarva bhauma Bhattacharya was so fortunate as to see the six-armed form of Lord Chaitanya known as sadbhuja. A sadbhuja Deity is still situated at one end of the Jagannatha temple.

Lord Caitanya’s Preaching Mission

Srila Prabhupada - "Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu wanted the cult of His sankirtana movement to spread all over the world. Now that the International Society for Krsna Consciousness has taken up this task of preaching the cult of Lord Chaitanya, its members should not only construct temples in every town and village of the globe but also distribute the books that have already been written and further increase the number of books." (Cc. adi 7.164, purport)

Srila Prabhupada - "Krsna-varnam tvisakrishnam sangopangastra-parsadam/ yajnaih sankirtana-prayair yajanti hi su-medhasah:

In the age of Kali, intelligent persons perform congregational chanting to worship the incarnation of Godhead who constantly sings the names of Krsna. Although His complexion is not blackish, He is Krsna Himself. He is accompanied by His associates, servants, weapons and confidential companions." (Srimad-Bhagavatam 11.5.32)

The fact is today, drinking cow urine and burning Cow dung, is totally useless against fighting the Coronavirus!! 

And the proof - 

Cow urine and burning Cow dung was also used in 1918/20 by Brahmin Priests and Hindus against the Spanish influenza pandemic when 23 million Indians died and 100 million died around the World. 

The effect of Cow urine and dung was useless, mainly because today, there are no qualified Brahmins left, due to this degraded age of Kali-yuga.

In fact burning Cow dung is very dangerous because it creates breathing difficulities for millions of people, especially children, killing hundreds of thousands a year in India.

Don't be sentimental, look at the history books.

And for those trying to put me down by bringing up my faults as one tried to do, does NOT change historical facts that drinking cow urine, burning cow dung and EVEN chanting Hare Krishna will NOT stop this Coronavirus.

However, chanting Hare Krishna WILL help you NEVER forget Krishna and protect you the jiva-soul and not necessarily the material vessel you are in (that's between you and Krishna.)

The devotees in the UK chant Hare Krishna more so than most others around the world which really protects you the soul.

Yet still two devotees have left their material bodies from Coronavirus and at least 30 devotees are now sick.

However, if one selflessly and genuinely chants Hare Krishna, then you, the spirit soul, is ALWAYS protected and NOTHING can ever harm you "the soul".

The material body, on the other hand, is ALWAYS in a state of decay and decline from birth until its death.

A devotee never asks Krishna for any material benefit, including praying for the material health of the material body one is in.

If one selflessly and genuinely chants Hare Krishna, then you, the spirit soul, is ALWAYS protected and NOTHING can ever harm you.

A devotee chants the Hare Krishna praying to ALWAYS be engaged in the service of the Lord -

"Oh my Lord, oh energies of the Lord, please  engage me in your devotional service"

The fact is, Krishna is more inclined to help those who do everything they can do, to help themselves.

Prabhupada told us Krishna likes to see this endeavour and personal quality in all His devotees.

Just like the "Sun and the Sunrays" exist together and cannot exist independent of each other, Krsna also has no meaning without being surrounded by His loving devotees.

Krsna and the jivas (souls) are ALWAYS together just like the Sun and Sunrays are together that cannot manifest without each other.

However, Krsna IS the Supreme Personality of Godhead and cause of all causes.
Alongside Him ALL individual living entities also simultaneously exist without beginning or end.

Therefore, just like the "Sun and the Sunrays" exist together and cannot exist independent of each other, Krsna also has no meaning without His devotees.

The soul or jiva-tattva was NEVER created and does NOT originate from the impersonal aspect of Brahman

For the soul there is never birth nor death. Nor, having once been, does he ever cease to be.

Sastra says Gita 2.20 - 

"For the soul there is never birth nor death. Nor, having once been, does he ever cease to be. He is unborn, eternal, ever-existing, undying and primeval’’. 

The word ''unborn'' is very clear meaning the jiva was never born.

Also BG 2.12 -

"Never was there a time when I did not exist, nor you, nor all these kings; nor in the future shall any of us cease to be".

The jivas were never created.

Krsna is the maintainer of all existence in Goloka and Vaikuntha and His material ''creation'' Both Krsna and the jivas are eternal and always exist together like the sun and the sunrays.

The jivas are nothing without Krsna and Krsna has no meaning without the jivas as Srila Prabhupada explains in ''Nectar of Devotion''

Both are equally eternal in the sense of there is no beginning but Krsna is always the Supreme Lord even though He has an older brother Balarama LOL.

Krsna has 100% of His own qualities,
Vishnu or Narayana has 93% of Krsna's qualities,
Shiva has 84% of Krishna's qualities,
the jivas like you and me, have 78% of Krishna's qualities.

Both Krsna and the jivas are eternal and always exist together like the sun and the Sunrays. The jivas are NOT created because they were never ''born''.

There was never a time that the jiva-tattvas did not exist.

Like Krsna, the jivas have ALWAYS existed just like the sunrays exist with the sun, this is how the jivas also eternally exist subordinate to Lord Krsna.

Therefore technically, Krsna NEVER created the jivas because they are eternally part and parcel of Him like the sunrays are part and parcel of the sun, they exist together and are inseparable.

Also to say the jiva souls, also known as the marginal living entities, came from an impersonal origin is not the teachings of Srila Prabhupada.

Letter to Revatinandana Los Angeles 13 June, 1970 

Srila Prabhupada - 'The next question, about the living entities falling down in this material world are not from the impersonal brahman. Existence in the impersonal brahman is also within the category of non-Krsna consciousness.

Those who are in the brahman effulgence they are also in the fallen condition, so there is no question of falling down from a fallen condition. When fall takes place, it means falling down from the non-fallen condition.

The non-fallen condition is Krsna consciousness. So long one can maintain pure Krsna consciousness he is not fallen down. As soon as he becomes out of Krsna consciousness immediately he is fallen down.

It does not matter where a living entity stays. In the material world also there are different stages of living conditions, and to remain in the brahman effulgence is also another phase of that fallen condition.

Just like in the Bhagavad-gita it is stated that conditioned souls by their pious activities are elevated to the higher planetary system, but as soon as the stock of pious activities is finished he again comes down on the earthly planet.

Similarly those who are elevated beyond the planetary system to the brahman effulgence, they are also prone to fall down as much as a living entity from the higher planetary system.

As such those who are thinking that they are liberated by being situated in brahman effulgence are described in the Srimad-Bhagavatam as impurely intelligent.

In other words, they are actually not liberated, and because they are not actually liberated they again come down to the material world as much as a living entity elevated to the higher planetary system comes down to this earthly planet.

So we do not accept anyone elevated to the brahman effulgence as actually liberated.”

What Prabhupada is saying is the jivas were previously active ''before'' entering Maha Vishnu's effulgence, he is saying they never originated from that effulgence even though it may ''appear'' they do because of an enormous time span. 

They have actually fallen to that effulgence by entering it at the end of the previous material creation or may have entered it as an impersonalist yogi, they have never originated from there or Maha Vishnu either because long, long, long before that they fell from Vaikuntha

Revatīnandana - "You very clearly explained to me once in a letter that if the spirit soul then goes into the brahma-jyotir, he is considered still fallen. Still fallen. Does that means the whole brahma-jyotir is composed of fallen souls? You see my question? If I go there, I'm a jīva soul, and I go to the brahma-jyotir I'm still fallen".

Srila Prabhupāda - "Yes".

Revatīnandana - "That means all jīva souls there are also fallen souls".

Srila Prabhupāda - "Yes".

Revatīnandana - "That follows?"

Srila Prabhupāda - "That is explained in the Bhagavad-gītā. Vibhinnāṁśa. Separated parts. Separated parts, vibhinnāṁśa. You can call it fallen".

Revatīnandana - "But we usually think of fallen as being forgetful".

Srila Prabhupāda -"Yes. This is also forgetfulness. In the brahma-jyotir you are forgetful still. Because you are... That is stated in the śāstra, anādhṛta yuṣmad anghrayaḥ. Anādhṛta. They do not know how to adore the lotus feet of Kṛṣṇa. That is forgetfulness".

Srila Prabhupada - "It is not for you to judge who is guilty and who is innocent, only Krishna knows the heart of His disciple and how much they are trying to be Krishna conscious. Do not judge others, leave that up to Krishna because He knows all, you do not".

Many present day (2020) immature pioneering leaders now in their 60s and 70s, and "finger pointing" judgemental devotees, should understand this comment by Srila Prabhupada about criticizing devotees, still not understood by many 46 years after he made this comment.

During a Srila Prabhupada's lecture in 1974, a devotee asked him a question -

"If a devotee is initiated as a brahmana and he leaves the Krishna consciousness Movement, then isn't it appropriate that if he wants to come back, that he should be reduced to the level of a sudra ....?"

This devotee was concerned about this subject and wanted a practicle application but Srila Prabhupada cut him off quite abruptly said,

"It is not for you to judge who is guilty and who is innocent." 

Then this devotee tried again, almost as if he wanted his condemnation of a fallen devotee, justified.

So he re-phrased and re-presented his question because he may have thought Srila Prabhupada did not understood his question, so he tried again to explain his point again that when someone leaves ISKCON, shouldn't that devotee be put in a lower position and then work their way back up.

He began to speak, but Srila Prabhupada again abruptly cut him off, not at all happy with what his judgemental arrogent conclusions that he was trying to justify.

Srila Prabhupada STRONGLY explained that ONLY the spiritual master knows who is actually guilty and who is innocent and knows the heart of his disciple. 

These comments by Srila Prabhupada greatly impressed the devotees who were there that clearly we CANNOT see the true character of a devotee by looking from the outside.

Srila Prabhupada - "What are a devotee's intentions and motives? We cannot see that, therefore we cannot judge them or degrade them for their offenses or their faults, only the Spiritual Master can do that".

Many today are afraid and think our present day society as we know it, may soon come to an end because of the Coronavirus COVID-19.

No, that is not going to happen!!

Even though many will die because of this 2020 pandemic, it will eventually pass like all the many other pandemics have throughout history.

In fact, something amazing is happening, an opulent spiritual Golden Age has already begun on this planet.

The driving force for this Golden Age, is the teachings of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu and His Sankirtan Movement that WILL free many souls trapped here in this decaying material World.

This Golden Age will last for 10,000 years within this Kali-yuga that lasts for 432,000 years.

The teachings of Lord Caitanya WILL encourage the people of the world to develop a Krishna Conscious World Society, and become educated in spiritual matters and qualified to get out of this material World and return home back to Godhead.

After the 10,000 year Golden Age based on the teaching of Lord Caitanya, the inauspicious qualities of Kali-yuga will continue on for another 417,000 years.

Then life on this Planet will end at the last stage of Kali-yuga in complete annihilation, making way for a new Satya-yuga to begin.

Lord Krsna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead and cause of ALL causes, and is the original Lord from whom all Vishnu/Narayana forms originate.

This beautiful boy Krsna is the Supreme Lord and cause of all living entities including all the Narayana and Vishnu Personalities of the Godhead who live on the permanent Vaikuntha Planets in the Spiritual realm.

Also there are three other Vishnus who manage and enter the temporary material creation -

1 - Maha Vishnu
2 - Garbhodakashayi Vishnu
3 - Paramatma

Paramatma accompanies the marginal living entities (jiva souls) when they choose to enter the material creation and take a material bodily vessel.
