"Free will" is always part and parcel of the individual marginal living entities (jiva soul's) eternal spiritual constitution that they have always had. Love can ONLY exists when there is a "two way" exchange of feelings and service.

If Krsna had absolute control over the marginal living entities (individual jiva souls) "ever thoughts and actions", then that version of the "Kingdom of God" or "Goloka Vṛndāvana and Vaikuntha" would be an "impersonalists mindless loveless paradise"

Krishna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead and cause of ALL causes, He is the Supreme controller of ALL things meaning nothing can take place without His sanction and approval first as explained in Bhagavad Gita As It Is.

However, Krishna DOES allow "free will" simply for the purpose of allowing the jiva souls to have the opportunity to voluntarily contribute and provide their own unique offerings, that enables them to experience their own "personal" loving exchanges with Krishna as the independent thoughtful contributing individual "PERSON" they are eternally.

The fact is, love is NEVER a one sided, one way affair, love is ALWAYS based on a character building loving relationship of warm exchanges expressed in a "two way" mood of reciprocation.

Therefore the jiva souls WITHOUT free will, would be just mindless emotionless drones in Vaikuntha and Goloka Vrindavan where their every thought and action is fully controlled by Narayana on the Vaikuntha Planets, and Krishna in Goloka Vrindavan.

This makes them no more than dead stone Prabhupada has said.

And this is also another aspect of impersonalism.

Having "free will" is always part and parcel of the marginal living entities eternal spiritual constitution.

Without "free will" within a "two way" reciprocal relationship with Krishna, we are no better than dead emotionless stone.

Lord Krishna IS the Supreme Personality of Godhead and cause of ALL causes however, this does not mean the jiva soul becomes Krishna's "mindless slave servant" or some useless impersonal inactive "atom" on His Lotus feet as some foolish devotees may desire.

Such nonsense bogus so called "surrender" is really trying to extinguish one's individuality of being an active "person" that the jiva soul is originally and eternally.

The jiva soul's in their full potential are a perpetual svarupa spiritual bodily two armed form in their original position in Goloka Vrindavana.

Therefore being Krishna's eternal associate does not mean one must give up, or surrender their free will, sense of independent self, personality and individuality and be a mindless drone in either Goloka Vrindavana or Vaikuntha.

The fact is, Krishna allows "free will" for the purpose of allowing the jiva soul to make THEIR own choices on how to serve Him by voluntarily offering their own unique contributions without being forced too or dictated too by Krishna.

It must be this way otherwise loving exchanges cannot exist.

Ultimately the relationship between Krishna and the individual jiva soul in Goloka Vrindavana, can only work when based on a "two way" relationship of self expression, reciprocation, loving exchanges and personal choices.

Loving service can only exist when the jiva soul voluntarily "chooses" their own personal contributions and offerings to Krishna expressed in a "two-way" relationship of reciprocation between Krishna and the jiva soul.

A relationship "between two" can ONLY experience love and that is why Krishna gave the jiva souls their freedom (free will) that is only fully expressed, experienced and realized in the Spiritual Worlds.

Surrendering to Krishna is enriched and further enhanced by the jiva soul's personal unique loving contributions of service that increase and magnify the relationship of loving exchanges and reciprocation eternally between Krishna and the jiva soul.

Krishna gave the jiva souls their freedom (free will) so there CAN be a "two-way" voluntary relationship of personal unique loving exchanges in a different way with each individual jiva soul.

It is not "all one" (everyone thinks the same like a programmed machine) in Krishna's Kingdom of Goloka Vrindavana, or Vishnu's Vaikuntha Planets because each jiva soul is a living person with their own feeings and sense of self that is independent from Krishna's Personality.

Therefore REAL love is an exchange between Krishna's Personality and the individual jiva soul's personality.

And no two jiva souls are the same.

The individual persons in the Spiritual Sky are unlimited, each with their own unique mood of expression on all the different Spiritual Planets.

Love can NEVER be one, love must ALWAYS be allowed to be a "two way street", only then can real love exist.

This is what servant - master relationship MUST be based on for love to truly work in a selfless "loving" way.

The fact is, "real love, service or surrender" can NEVER exist in just a "one way", one sided or one directional mood without having voluntary exchanges or feelings in a "two way" relationship.

Love ONLY exists in a two way exchange.

The fact is, without "free will" and the right to choose for one's self in this "two way" relationship, the jiva soul is no better than dead emotionless stone Prabhupada has told us.

Therefore even being a "mindless atom" in Krishna's lotus feet as some have prayed, is actually impersonalism and Mayavadi philosophy.

This is because one is attempting to extinguish their individual identity and become inactive which is NOT the eternal "devotional serving" nature of the jiva soul.

Srila Prabhupada - "If you have no free will, then you are a stone. The stone has no free will. You want to be stone? Then you must have free will! But don't misuse your free will. But don't try to become stone either. That is not life". (August 5, 1976, New Mayapur France)

Krishna does not want to force the jiva soul to surrender to Him, if He did then that is NOT love, it is exploitation and abuse.

Srila Prabhupada  - "In Bengali it is said, ‘If you catch one girl or boy, ‘You love me, you love me, you love me.’ ” Is it love? “You love me, otherwise I will kill you!’ Is that love? So Krishna does not want to become a lover like that, on the point of revolver". (Washington DC July 1976)

What Srila Prabhupada explains here is a very important point to understand-

Srila Prabhupada - ”So even if I desire ‘Why shall I serve Krishna? Why not become Krishna?’ then I immediately fall down.

Vipina Purandara - “Why doesn’t Krishna protect us from that desire?

Srila Prabhupada - “He’s protecting. He says, “You rascal, don’t desire like that. Surrender unto Me.” But you are rascal; you do not do this”.

Vipina Purandara - “Why doesn’t He save me from thinking like that?"

Srila Prabhupada - “That means you lose your independence. That is force, in Bengali it is said, ‘If you catch one girl or boy, ‘You love me, you love me, you love me.’ ” Is it love? “You love me, otherwise I will kill you!’ Is that love? So Krishna does not want to become a lover like that, on the point of revolver. ‘You love me, otherwise I shall kill you!’ That is not love; that is threatening. Love is reciprocal, voluntary, good exchange of feeling. Then there is love. Not by force; that is rape. Why one is called lover, another is called rape?” (July 8, 1976 in Washington, D.C.)

Loving relationships can only exist in the Spiritual World when ALWAYS based on the reciprocation between two because love can only exist when there is a respectful nurturing relationship between two, between Krishna and His disciples the jiva souls-

Srila Prabhupāda – ''Unless there are two persons, where is the question of love? Love means two persons, then there is exchange, then there is love. I must deal with you open-hearted, you must deal with me open-hearted, then there is love. So if you want to love Kṛṣṇa, God, then these things must be there". (August 9, 1976, Tehran)

Srila Prabhupada – “So everyone can know that independence means one can use it properly, or one can misuse it. That is independence. If you make it one way only, that is not independence, that is force.” (Los Angeles, June 23, 1975)

Srila Prabhupada - “Unless there is a possibility of misusing our free will, there is no question of freedom.” (Dialectical Spiritualism, Critique of Descartes)

Ultimately each individual soul is a unique PERSON who can choose for themselves how to voluntarily serve Krishna the Supreme Personality of Godhead and cause of all causes, or ignore Him if they want.

As Prabhupada explains, Krishna NEVER forces the jiva soul to surrender to Him, never forces them to love Him, that MUST be voluntary otherwise love can NEVER exist without voluntary reciprocal exchanges.

If Krishna had absolute control over the marginal living entities "ever thoughts and actions", then that version of the "Kingdom of God" or "Goloka Vṛndāvana and Vaikuntha" would be an "impersonalists mindless loveless cold hearted paradise"

Therefore ultimately within the most intense loving emotional exchanges between the Lord and the jiva souls, there is ALWAYS free will, there are always individual choices of expression because without free will, there can NEVER be any loving voluntary exchanges of good feelings.

If the jiva souls do not have the freedom to think for themselves independently, then how can love exist?

No, it is not possible without free will because love is a very personal  unique expression of feelings shared voluntary with one's beloved.

Sharing one's unique personality and individuality with the object of one's love, Krishna. Therefore without having "choices" in the jiva soul's relationship with Krishna, there can be no question of love.

This is because if it is just a one sided affair with no imput from the jiva soul too, then how can their be genuine love?

This idea of Krishna completely taking over the jiva soul's free will, in the name of surrender and denying any independent thoughful contributions from the jiva souls, is nonsense impersonal that many foolish bogus gurus teach their naive disciples today.

Love is only possible when it is allowed to be governed by voluntary self expression in a reciprocal relationship between "two individuals", the jiva soul and Krishna.

This loving reciprocation is always expressed in its full potential in either Vaikuntha or Goloka Vrindavan but covered in the material creation where free will is so covered over, it almost does not exist there.

And certainly not in the lower species of life in the material creation where instinct is in control and NOT free will.

Also it is foolish and total nonsense to think Krishna overides and extinguishes the jiva soul's "free will and individuality" when they enter Vaikuntha or Goloka Vrindavan.

One should understand that being part and parcel of Krishna means the jiva souls can etenally make independent choices for themselves in Vaikuntha or Goloka Vrindavan while serving of Krishna, that some immature devotees still have not understood properly.

This is because real love (prema) or devotional service, is ONLY possible when the relationship is between two reciprocating with each other.

So let's be clear, loving relationships in the Spiritual World are ALWAYS based on the reciprocation between two because love can only exist when there is a caring respectful nurturing relationship between two, between Krishna and His disciples the jiva souls.

Srila Prabhupāda – ''Love means two persons, then there is exchange, then there is love.

Ultimately each individual jiva soul is a unique PERSON who can choose for themselves how to voluntarily serve Krishna the Supreme Personality of Godhead and cause of all causes, or ignore Him they want.

Srila Prabhupada – "Krishna NEVER forces you to love Him, that MUST be voluntary. (Melbourne June 25, 1974)

Srila Prabhupada – "Love is reciprocal, voluntary, good exchange of feeling. Then there is love. Not by force, no, Krishna does not want to become a lover like that." (July 8, 1976)

Krishna very rarely interferes with the free will of the jiva souls.

Srila Prabhupada - ''As soon as we try, "Oh, this material world is very nice," "Yes," Kṛṣṇa says, "yes, you go." Otherwise what is the meaning of free will? Every living entity has got a little free will. And Kṛṣṇa is so kind, He gives him opportunity, "All right, you enjoy like this." It is free will''. (Morning Walk At Cheviot Hills Golf Course, May 13, 1973, Los Angeles)

Krishna allows the jiva souls to be independent individuals with free will allowing them to freely contribute their very best in a two way relationship of loving exchanges.

Also the ability to choose "this side (the Spiritual Worlds) or that side (the Material creation)" is what makes freedom real.

As Prabhupada has said, having free will also means one can reject Krishna if they choose to do so.

Freedom means one can reject God if they choose to do so or can accept Him if they choose.

Krishna allows the living entities to have this freedom because if THEY make their own choices to express their love for Krishna from their own free will, then that is having a voluntary "two way" relationship.

This is better than being surrounded by "living entities or jiva souls" that are like "mindless drones" who are always impersonally programmed to worship Krishna unconditionally.

Such a relationship is NOT love because love can NEVER exist in a one-way expression or in a "one-side" domineering dictatorial relationship.

This means loving selfless service can only exist between "two living persons" in a "two-way" relationship of loving exchanges as said above.

If Krishna is surrounded by none thinking Robots or Androids (yes men and women) doing all that He wants, then that is certainly NOT love because love cannot exist with dead machines.
