Why are the souls granted freedom (free will) by God?

Why are the jiva souls granted freedom (free will) by Krishna?

The fact is the jiva tattva souls have ALWAYS had their freedom (free will) in Vaikuntha and Goloka Vrindavan for the simple reason that without it, a relationship of loving exchanges and reciprocation with Krishna, as a contributing independent individual is NOT possible.

This is why Krishna ALWAYS allows "free will"

Furthermore, there was never a time where Krishna never granted freedom (free will) to the individual jiva soul because having free will enables the jiva souls to express their love for Krishna in their own unique way.

Therefore, having free will is eternally part and parcel of the of the constitutional make up of every marginal living entity (jiva-tattva soul).

Ultimately it is by Krishna's will and favour the living entities have their "free will", He does allows it, but He can also take it away if He wants too.

This is because Krishna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead and cause of all causes, the Supreme controller of ALL things meaning nothing can take place without His sanction and approval first.

But Krishna DOES allow "free will" for the purpose of letting the jiva souls contribute their own unique loving offerings that enable them to express their "personal" loving exchanges in reciprocation with Krishna as an independent thoughtful contributing person. The fact is love is NEVER a one sided affair, love is ALWAYS a character building exchange between two.

This is because the jiva souls are NOT mindless emotionless drones where every thought and action is fully controlled by Narayana (Vishnu) on the Vaikuntha Planets, or Krishna in Goloka Vrindavan, making them no more alive than dead stone.

If this kind of control over another living entity existed in the Spiritual World then it would be an "impersonalists mindless paradise"

Therefore ultimately within the most intense loving emotional exchanges between the Lord and the jiva souls, there is ALWAYS individual choices of expression due to free will because without free will, there can NEVER be any loving voluntary exchanges.

If the jiva souls do not have the freedom to think for themselves independently, then how can love exist? No, it is not possible without free will because love is a very personal expression of feelings shared voluntary with one's own personal unique thoughts with the object of one's love, Krishna.

Therefore without having "choices" in the jiva soul's relationship with Krishna, there can be no question of love.

This is because if it is just a one sided affair with no imput from the jiva soul too, then how can their be genuine love?

This idea of Krishna completely taking over the jiva soul's free will, in the name of surrender and denying any independent thoughful contributions from the jiva souls, is nonsense impersonal that many foolish bogus gurus teach their naive disciples today.

Love is only possible when it is allowed to be governed by self expression with a reciprocal relationship between "two individuals", the jiva soul and Krishna.

This loving reciprocation is always expressed in its full potential in either Vaikuntha or Goloka Vrindavan but covered in the material creation where free will is so covered over, it almost does not exist there.

And certainly not in the lower species of life in the material creation where instinct is in control and NOT free will.

Also it is foolish and total nonsense to think Krishna overides the jiva soul's free will and individuality when they enter Vaikuntha and Goloka Vrindavan.

One should understand that being part and parcel of Krishna means the jiva souls can etenally make independent choices in Vaikuntha or Goloka Vrindavan that some immature devotees have not understood properly.

This is because real love (prema) or devotional service, is ONLY possible when the relationship is between two.

Loving relationships in the Spiritual World are ALWAYS based on the reciprocation between two because love can only exist when there is a caring respectful nurturing relationship between two, between God and His disciples the jiva souls-

Srila Prabhupāda – ''Unless there are two persons, where is the question of love? Love means two persons, then there is exchange, then there is love. I must deal with you open-hearted, you must deal with me open-hearted, then there is love. So if you want to love Kṛṣṇa, God, then these things must be there". (August 9, 1976, Tehran)

Srila Prabhupada – “So everyone can know that independence means one can use it properly, or one can misuse it. That is independence. If you make it one way only, that is not independence, that is force.” (Los Angeles, June 23, 1975)

Srila Prabhupada - “Unless there is a possibility of misusing our free will, there is no question of freedom.” (Dialectical Spiritualism, Critique of Descartes)

Ultimately each individual soul is a unique person who can choose for themselves to voluntarily serve Krishna the Supreme Personality of Godhead and cause of all causes, or ignore Him.

As Prabhupada explains, Krishna NEVER forces you to surrender to Him, never forces you to love Him, that must be voluntary otherwise love can never exist.

Srila Prabhupada – "Krishna NEVER forces you to love Him, that MUST be voluntary. (Melbourne June 25, 1974)

Srila Prabhupada – "Love is reciprocal, voluntary, good exchange of feeling. Then there is love. Not by force, no, Krishna does not want to become a lover like that." (July 8, 1976)

Krishna never interferes with the free will of the jiva souls

Srila Prabhupada - ''As soon as we try, "Oh, this material world is very nice," "Yes," Kṛṣṇa says, "yes, you go." Otherwise what is the meaning of free will? Every living entity has got a little free will. And Kṛṣṇa is so kind, He gives him opportunity, "All right, you enjoy like this." It is free will''. (Morning Walk At Cheviot Hills Golf Course, May 13, 1973, Los Angeles)

Krishna allows the individual jiva souls to be independent with their free will, allowing them to freely choose to contribute their very best in a two way relationship of loving exchanges with Krishna.

Also the ability to choose "this side (the Spiritual Worlds) or that side (the Material creation)" is what makes freedom real and personal.

As Prabhupada has said, having free will also means one can reject Krishna if they choose.

Feedom means one can reject God if they choose to do so.

Krishna allows the living entities to have this freedom because if THEY make the choice to express their love for Krishna from their own free will, then that is better than being surrounded by "Living Entities" always programmed to love Krishna unconditionally.

The Vishnu-tattva and Vishnu-sakti-tattva living entities are NOT like this either, they are NOT separate living entities, they are ALL Krishna Himself just playing another role in His own pastimes.

The very deep loving relationships between Vishnu-sakti-tattva expansions like Radha with Krishna and Vishnu-tattva expansions like Balarama with Krishna, is on a completely different level of loving exchanges where, in this case, the ONE does become TWO.

On the other hand, the individual jiva souls, who are also sakti expansions of Krishna, ARE independent living entities, and love Krishna in their own unique individual  way.

And Krishna NEVER forces His dominance over the jiva souls like a Puppet Master controls a puppet with strings.

It is complete nonsense to think "surrender" means ONLY Krishna controls all loving emotions and expressions between Himself and the jiva souls, and overrides the jiva soul's free will, their independent identity and individuality and choosing everything for them once they enter the Spiritual Worlds.

Actually this kind of impersonal nonsense "surrender" is Spiritual suicide.

No! That kind of forceful dominant so called love over the individual jiva soul is Mayavadi impersonalism!

Therefore to say one can NEVER choose to fall down from Vaikuntha or Goloka Vrindavan is also nonsense.

Although Prabhupada did say that only less than 10% of jiva-souls make that foolish choice to leave Vaikuntha or Goloka Vrindavan, while the rest (over 90%) are good souls, and do not choose to fall down.

You see, it is the the jiva soul's choice too, that Krishna does allow, so one can experience real love and surrender as a person.

This is because Krishna never treats us as mindless drones programmed just to love Krishna, no, Krishna does not want servants like that.

We are all unique individual jiva soul's who each have a independent sense of self that no other jiva soul is like.

Each jiva soul is able to give their own unique loving offerings in one's own special personal way of loving or serving Krishna.

Therefore ONLY such reciprocation of loving exchanges between Krishna and the jiva souls is what makes selfless love (Krishna prema) possible.

The jiva-tattva souls are expansions of Krishna (78.125% of Krishna's 100% qualities which is having 50 of Krishna's 64 attributes)ĺ

The jiva soul's are endowed with independence an individual personality that enables them to experience an independent personal sense of self separate from Krishna's Personality.

Krishna allows this "freedom" (free will) because Krishna wants to experience loving exchanges between Himself and the jiva souls, between two, experiencing the jiva souls individual  contributions and personal imput too.

This however does not means all jiva-tattva soul's are independent from Krishna's control, that is not possible.

At all time the jiva-tattva souls are ALWAYS dependent on Krishna even while experiencing their own little independence because Krishna is always in control and the maintainer of ALL things in both the perpetual Spiritual Worlds and the temporary material creation.

So the jiva-tattva souls are always independent individual living entities that depends on Krishna and His expansions in both the Spiritual Worlds and material worlds at all times.

So even though the jiva-tattva is an expansion of Krishna, the jiva-tattva is NOT one with Krishna.

The loving expressions between Krishna and His more direct Vishnu-tattva and Vishnu-sakti-tattva expansions, is different than the jiva-tattva souls.

They fact is, they ARE Krishna just playing another role in His own pastimes.

Both Vishnu-tattva and Vishnu-sakti-tattva expansions have 93.75% of Krishna's qualities which is having 60 of Krishna's 64 attributes. These expansions are very different from the individual jiva-tattva souls who have only 78.125% of Krishna's qualities which is having 50 of Krishna's 64 attributes.

This is because the Vishnu-tattva and Vishnu-sakti-tattva expansions ARE Krishna, they are "one with Krishna", where as the individual jiva-tattva souls are NOT one with Krishna in the sense that Krishna is also THEIR unique identity and personality.

No, the jiva souls are NOT God, they have their own personality and individual independent identity separate from Krishna.

All Vishnu-tattvas are direct expansions of God, that include Balarama, Maha Vishnu etc, and Vishnu-sakti-tattvas like Radharani and many gopis, gopas and other personalities in the Spiritual World, ARE also Krishna Himself playing the part of someone else in His own pastimes, just like in a play.

Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu is the manifestation of Radha and Krishna as "one" who both experience each other's love for each other.

Krishna, Radharani and Lord Caitanya are all the ONE personality.

This subject can be difficult to comprehend, especially by those who wrongly believe that once they enter Vaikuntha or Goloka Vrindavan, they can never again fall down to the material world.

Such a foolish idea is nonsense because the marginal living entities (jiva-tattva souls) all have their free will and can use it, or miss use it at anytime in Goloka-Vrindavan or the Vaikuntha Planets.

Because we have free will, there is always the possibility of fall down, therefore at all times "we must use our free will correctly" and choose to perpetually serve Krishna at ALL times.

This is the only way that will protect us from fall down as Prabhupada explains here-

Devotee – “In the Srimad-Bhagavatam, it says that Krishna did not want us to come to this material world. If Krishna did not want us to come, why are we here?”

Srila Prabhupada – “Yes. You forced Krishna to allow you to come. Just like sometimes a child forces his father. Father says, “My dear son, do not do this. Do not go there.” But he insists, “Oh, I must go. I must go.” “All right, you go at your risk. That’s all. And you suffer. What can be done?” Because you are Son of God you have got independence, full independence, almighty—therefore you have acquired the quality of your father. You have got little independence. So God does not interfere with your little independence. If you persist that “I must go and enjoy independently,” so God says, “All right, you can go.” This is the position. You have to take sanction. That is a fact. But when you persist, God sanctions. And you come and enjoy”. (Melbourne, Australia June 25, 1974)

Devotee – “Krishna did not want us to come here, so why are we here?” Why didn’t Krishna save us from coming to this material world?”

Srila Prabhupada - “Because that means you lose your independence. That is force, in Bengali it is said, ‘If you catch one girl or boy, ‘You love me, you love me, you love me.’ ” Is it love? “You love me, otherwise I will kill you!’ Is that love? So Krishna does not want to become a lover like that, on the point of revolver. ‘You love me, otherwise I shall kill you!’ That is not love; that is threatening. Love is reciprocal, voluntary, good exchange of feeling. Then there is love. Not by force; that is rape. Why one is called lover, another is called rape?” (July 8, 1976 in Washington, D.C.)

The individual jiva-tattva souls have their own unique individual thoughts and desires, giving them their own personality and identity separate from the Supreme Lord, which includes diversity and varigatedness in the way that the jiva souls choose to serve in both the Vaikuntha Planets and Goloka Vrindavan.

Free will in Vaikuntha and Goloka Vrindavan gives the jiva souls the ability to make their own individual contributions in their own unique too.

And without free will, the jiva souls will NEVER experience loving meaningful exchanges and reciprocation with Krishna.

Of course Krishna must always sanction the jiva souls free will, after all He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead and cause of all causes.

As long as Krishna or Narayana are in the centre encouraging loving exchanges between two in the mood of cooperation, then love in its full potential is experienced in a "two way experience, the way it is meant to be.

Love is NOT just a one way, one sided affair! No, it is never ONE, it is always a reciprocation between TWO.

And that includes Narayana in the Vaikuntha Planets and Krishna in Goloka-Vrindavan too.

The point is, as Prabhupada has said, love is NEVER be forced by Krishna, that MUST be voluntarily.

Also, if each of us never had an independent sense of self and personality, then we would never have the individual abilities and talents unique to our Spiritual identity that allows us to serve Krishna with loving emotions and feelings.

And if everyone was the same, then their version of the Kingdom of God (Vaikuntha) is simply a boring, stagnated, just an impersonal cold dictatorship devoid of loving exchanges and emotions.

The "highest sense of independent thinking" is "choosing" to be fully dependent on Krishna. However, real love is reciprocal, it is NEVER a "one way street" where surrender to Krishna takes away one's sense of self expression, individuality and free will, making one no better than a dead stone.

No, Krishna does not want lovers like that, who are denied their individuality of being the independent person who can choose for themselves in their relationship with Krishna.

"Surrender" to Krishna NEVER takes away one's sense of self, individuality, unique personality, self expression and free will.

Goloka Vrindavana is the Kingdom of God where the jiva soul's independent identity, personality and unique individual abilities, enables them to make  THEIR ''personal choices'' of how and what to offer Krishna in the spirit of good feelings, reciprocation and loving exchanges.

In this way the "highest meaning of independent thinking" is "choosing" to be fully dependent on Krishna in the mood of good devotional loving exchanges.

Love can only exist when their are respectful character building exchanges between two, love is NEVER just a one way affair.

The Spiritual World is full of unlimited variety and variegatedness, therefore Krishna only wants those in His circle who "choose" to give the best of who they are as an independent thinking individual person, who has their own unique abilities and talents they can offer to Krishna that expands the loving exchanges in the relationship.

Real love is reciprocal and can only exist where there are two, it is NEVER a one way, one sided affair where surrender to Krishna denies the jiva soul's their unique independent personality, individuality, loving contributions and personal offerings to expand and nurture the relationship with Krishna.

The fact is, without these personal attributes the jiva souls always have as part of their natural spiritual constitution, then they will be no better than dead stone.

In this mundane material world, it is not possible to experience "free will" in its full potential, in fact the concept of "free will" is almost no existent, that is only possible in Vaikuntha and Goloka Vrindavan.

Our ONLY education should be being trained up from a very young age to go "back home back to Godhead because this temporary decaying material creation is NOT our real home."***.

Thursday, December 3, 2020

Many of today's scholars, historians and even some Vaiṣṇavas, have NOT understood the correct teachings of Bhagavad-Gita and the eternal reality of the Spiritual Worlds and the living entities.

Of course taking birth in the temporary mundane material creation is achieved by choosing to leave our real perpetual home in the Spiritual Planets.

The individual jiva-soul (jiva-tattva) NEVER originated from an "inactive" clear sheet of "dormant" consciousness, meaning they NEVER originated from an impersonal origin in the Brahman (Brahmajyoti effulgence) that many foolish religious leaders, scholars and their students believe.

Goloka-Vrindavana and Vaikuntha (The Kingdoms of God) are the original home of ALL living entities.

There is NO repeated birth and death, decay or impermanence in Vaikuntha and Goloka-Vrindavana.

This is because the individual jiva-souls do NOT occupy a material bodily vessel there that is always in a constant state of decay, and in need of round the clock maintenance in the material creation.

The fact is, the individual jiva-souls (marginal living entities) were NEVER created and will NEVER cease to be, they have ALWAYS existed as Bhagavad-Gita As It Is tells us!

Chapter 2 Text 20 it states-

"For the soul there is never birth nor death. Nor, having once been, does he ever cease to be. He is unborn, eternal, ever-existing, undying and primeval. He is not slain when the body is slain". (BG Chapter 2 Text 20)

Also just like the Sun-disc and the sun-rays cannot exist without each other, similarly Krsna and the jiva-souls cannot exist without each other. "Nectar of Devotion" tells us.

An important point said above is the "jiva-souls" were NEVER born or NEVER created, nor will they ever die.

Only the material bodily vessel they are in decays, wears out and eventually ceases to function forcing the jiva-soul to take another material body while in the material creation.

The individual jiva-souls are the passengers temporarily occuping the temporary material body and have ALWAYS existed.

This also means the jiva-souls never came from some nonsense "inactive clear sheet of consciousness" that impersonalist preach.

The individual jiva-souls were NEVER created because they have ALWAYS existed.

Srila Prabhupada – "There is no NEW soul. New and old are due to this material body, the soul is NEVER born and NEVER dies, so if there is no birth, how can there be new souls?'' (Letter to Jagadisa 7/9/1970).***.

"Free will" and its proper understanding fully explained.

The fact is without free will, loving relations with Krsna can never exist, that is why Krsna ALWAYS allows free will in Vaikuntha and Goloka-Vrindavana.

Loving voluntary service can ONLY exist in its full potential in Krsna’s (God) Kingdom in the Spiritual worlds, where the jiva-souls experience their "freedom that enables them to choose for themselves how to love (serve) Krsna in their own unique individual way.

This is because without having the choice of "how" to have loving relationships with Krsna, based on cooperation, personal contributions and reciprocation, there can NEVER be genuine loving exchanges or loving emotions as one serves voluntary.

Krsna DOES allow from His devotees an unlimited variety of loving personal contributions and offerings, because His pure devotees NEVER lose their unique individual personality, independence and free will that allows them to voluntarily contribute as the unique PERSON they are eternally.

Srila Prabhupada - “In the spiritual world service is voluntary. Some devotees want to serve Krsna as flower; so they become flower there. If I want that, to be a flower I shall lie down at the lotus feet of Krsna, then he become flower, voluntarily, and he can change his, from flower to human body. That is spiritual life. There is no restriction. If some devotee wants to serve Krsna as cow, he serves Krsna as cow, as calf, as flower, as plant, as water, as ground, field, or as father, as mother, as friend, as beloved, anything. It is inconceivable, yet a fact". (Srimad Bhagavatam 6.1.1-4 - Melbourne, May 20, 1975)

A relationship "between two" can ONLY experience love and that is why Krsna gave the jiva-souls their freedom (free will)

You see, Krsna gave the individual jiva-souls their free will so they could make their own voluntary choices separate from Krsna's absolute control, otherwise there is no meaningful to having a loving reciprocal relationship with Krsna unless the jiva-souls have free will.

This is important to understand.

The "highest independence" is "choosing" to be fully dependent on Krsna.

But the jiva-souls must be able to voluntarily make that choice or even not make that choice if they want, free will means even having the right to reject Krsna if one wants.

Surrender to Krsna does NOT mean the jiva-souls lose their independence, individual identity and unique personality, and Krsna takes full control of your every thoughts and actions, making all your decisions for you, like a puppet master controls his puppet's every emotion, no, we are NOT Krsna's "yes men and women puppets".

That impersonal version of Krsna consciousness is Mayavadi philosophy and I reject that kind of rubbish surrender!

No, this kind of impersonal surrender is NOT loving service, it is impersonalism based on mindless surrender to ONENESS of consciousness in a "one-sided" dictatorial world where only "ONE" does all the thinking and decision making for everyone.

In Krsna's REAL Abode the jiva-souls NEVER lose their individual identity when surrendering to Krsna and being fully dependent on Him.

This is why Krsna allows the jiva-souls to have their free will because without it loving voluntary exchanges with Krsna can NEVER exist.

Although Srila Prabhupada has also explained to us that Krsna is ALWAYS in control because He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead and cause of ALL causes, but again, this absolute control does not mean the jiva-souls lose their sense of individual personality that is separate from Krsna's Personality.

Krsna allows this so there is variety and mystery and Krsna also allowing the jiva-souls to contribute to the relationship with Him that contributes to deepening, expanding, enriching and keeping the relationship ever fresh.

Therefore Krsna always gives sanction to the jiva-souls so they can have their little independence and free will that Prabhupada explains here -

Syamasundara dasa - ''So we have no free will?"

Srila Prabhupada - ''Not without the sanction of Krsna. Without Him, we cannot do anything. Therefore He is the ultimate cause''. (Dialectical Spiritualism: A Vedic View).

What Srila Prabhupada is saying here, is the individual jiva-soul CANNOT have their independence or free will without the sanction of Krsna first reminding us that Krsna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead and cause of ALL causes.

As Bhagavad Gita says not a blade of grass can move unless sanctioned by Krsna.

However, Krsna ALWAYS gives His sanction because if He didn't, then a loving contributing relationship between Krsna and the jiva-souls is not possible and can NEVER exist.

In a sense Krsna is Himself forced to give free will to the jiva-souls because He wants to experience genuine voluntary reciprocation with the jiva-souls and not just dominate them like a puppet master controls his mindless puppets.

Ultimately it is Krsna’s will alone that allows the jiva-souls to have their freedom however, as explained above, He knows by NOT giving them their freedom, then the jiva-souls can NEVER personally experience genuine selfless loving exchanges of love with Krsna that is only possible when there is the free will to give love.

Krsna does NOT want to be surrounded by mindless loveless drones (yes men or women), or those who do not know how to freely express their own unique individual personality as the independent persons they are eternally.

Therefore "Free will" ALWAYS exists as part and parcel of the constitutional make up of every marginal living entity (jiva-soul) that Krsna ALWAYS allows so they can experience loving exchanges with Him.

The jiva-souls having their free will is the only way to experience loving exchanges and knowing what genuine loving reciprocation is with Krsna.

So it should be clear that free will DOES eternally exists, and Krsna ALWAYS allows it because without it love can NEVER exist as already explained.

Therefore "Free will" or the ability to "choose" is eternally an asset of the jiva-souls (marginal living entities) and part of their eternal constitution without beginning or end.

Free will in its full potential, is ONLY fully experienced in Vaikuntha and Goloka Vrindavan, which is the jiva-souls original perpetual home.

Devotee - "Srila Prabhupada why did Krsna give us free will if He knew we may miss use it?"

Srila Prabhupada - "If you have no free will, then you are a stone. The stone has no free will. You want to be stone? Then you must have free will! But don't misuse your free will. But don't try to become stone either. That is not life". (August 5, 1976, New Mayapur France)

Srila Prabhupada - ''As soon as we try, "Oh, this material world is very nice," "Yes," Kṛṣṇa says, "yes, you can go." Otherwise what is the meaning of free will? Every living entity has got a little free will. And Kṛṣṇa is so kind, He gives him opportunity, "All right, you enjoy like this." It is free will''. (Morning Walk At Cheviot Hills Golf Course, May 13, 1973, Los Angeles)

Devotee – "In Srimad Bhagavatam it says that Krsna did not want us to come to this material world. If Krsna did not want us to come, why are we here?” Why doesn’t He save me from thinking like that?”

Srila Prabhupada - “That means you lose your independence. That is force, in Bengali it is said, ‘If you catch one girl or boy, ‘You love me, you love me, you love me.’ ” Is it love? “You love me, otherwise I will kill you!’ Is that love? So Krsna does not want to become a lover like that, on the point of revolver. ‘You love me, otherwise I shall kill you!’ That is not love; that is threatening. Love is reciprocal, voluntary, good exchange of feeling. Then there is love. Not by force; that is rape. Why one is called lover, another is called rape?” (July 8, 1976 in Washington, D.C).

Genuine LOVE or service is NOT a "one-sided" affiliate of total supremacy or preeminence.

The fact is genuine loving relations and service are based on voluntary reciprocal exhanges and contributions between TWO, not just one!

The individual jiva-souĺs have THEIR choices too, EVEN if that choice means rejecting Krsna!

Free will only has meaning when the jiva-souls can express themselves in a "two-sided" affair.

In other words, loving reciprocation is ONLY possible on a "two-way" street between two, with each contributing to the relationship's expansion of nectarine mellows.

The word "reciprocation" only has meaning when there are TWO involved, not one!

This also means the individual jiva-souls CAN reject Krsna if they choose, which in a sense proves that "free will" DOES truly exist.

The individual jiva-souls (marginal living entities) can NEVER exist independently from Krsna even though they CAN express their own independent free will that Krsna provides separately for the purpose of allowing "two-way" voluntary exchanges of loving expressions for encouraging unique individual contributions and personal offerings.

In Vaikuntha and Goloka Vrindavana, personal voluntary expressions of loving exchanges expressed through free will are ALWAYS encouraged by Krsna in His relationship with the jiva-souls, that adds flavour, variety and mystery to the association.

This means the Kingdom of God is NOT a one-sided dominating impersonal stagnant domain devoid of free will that does not allow personal contributions or offerings to God (Krsna), meant to expand, enrich and flavour the relationship.

Srila Prabhupada  - "Free will means that you can act wrongly. That is free will. Unless there is chance of doing wrong or right, there is no question of free will. Where is free will then? If I act only one sided, that means I have no free will. Because we act sometimes wrongly, that means free will."

Hayagriva - "A man may know better but still act wrongly".

Srila Prabhupada -"Yes", but that is free will. He misuses his. Just like a thief, he knows that his stealing, it is bad, but still he does it. That is free will. He cannot check his greediness, so in spite of his knowing that he is doing wrong thing—he will be punished, he knows; he has seen another thief, he was punished, he was put into prison— everything he knows, but still he steals. Why? Misuse of free will. Unless there is misuse of free will, there is no question of free will. (Talk between Prabhupada and Rene Descartes)

Srila Prabhupada – “So everyone can know that independence means one can use it properly, one can misuse it. That is independence. If you make it one way only, that you cannot become fall down, that is not independence. That is force.” (Mayapur, June 20, 1973)

Having "free will" is the eternal constitutional make up of EVERY "marginal living entity", and is the foundation for ALL jiva-soul's relationship with Krsna.

As Srila Prabhupada explains, the relationship between Krsna and the individual jiva-souls are never a one-way relationship that denies personal contributions and choices, no, love is ALWAYS based on the reciprocation between two, because love can only exist when there is two as Prabhupada explains-

Ultimately each individual jiva-soul is a unique person who can choose for themselves to voluntarily serve Krsna the Supreme Personality of Godhead and cause of all causes, or ignore Him.

As Prabhupada explains, Krsna never forces you to surrender to Him, never forces you to love Him, that must be voluntary otherwise love can never exist.

Srila Prabhupada – "Krsna NEVER forces you to love Him, that MUST be voluntary. (Melbourne June 25, 1974)

Srila Prabhupada – "Love is reciprocal, voluntary, good exchange of feeling. Then there is love. Not by force, no, Krsna does not want to become a lover like that." (July 8, 1976)

In Bhagavad Gita, Krsna DOES promise one will NEVER fall from Vaikuntha or Goloka Vrindavana on returning back home, back to Godhead, and yes, Krsna always keeps His promise.

However, the promise Krsna makes, that one will never again fall down to the material creation once they have returned to the Spiritual World, is from Krsna's side, it is His promise.

Does this mean the jiva-souls must accept and can NEVER choose to leave Vaikuntha or Goloka-Vrindavana again "even if they want to?"

This idea that once reaching Vaikuntha, one never again fall down is true for most jiva-souls, but not all Prabhupada has told us.

Therefore those devotees who say one will never again fall down to the material creation once returning to Vaikuntha or Goloka Vrindavan, is true for most, but there are a small minority, less than 10%, who DO choose to re-enter the material creation.

So those who believe no jiva-souls in Vaikuntha and Goloka Vrindavana can ever again fall down to the material creation is true, but NOT for all jiva-souls.

So no matter who they are, including many big Gurus and sannyasis in different Sangas who claim once in Vaikuntha, the jiva-souls never again fall down, have misunderstood Scripture and have not understood the concept of free will that Krsna NEVER interferes with.

Therefore the jiva-souls CAN fall from both Vaikuntha and Goloka Vrindavana at anytime if they choose to do so.

And again Prabhupada has explained that the figure of those jiva-souls who again choose to leave Vaikuntha or Goloka Vrindavan, is at less than 10%.

This should be easy to understand because ultimately love is not a one way street as explained above, love is based on the reciprocation between two.

Therefore, we must NOT forget the jiva-soul's freedom of expression too because the jiva-souls ALSO have THEIR choice too.

It is not just Krsna making decisions for the jiva-souls, they also have their choices too.

This is because real love is based on respecting the feelings, decision making and choices of the individual jiva-souls as well.

Therefore in their relationship with Kṛṣṇa, the jiva-souls are always striving to establish good exchanges of feelings and reciprocation with Krsna, making the relationship what it is supposed to be, a two-way exchange of loving emotions fully expressed in Goloka Vrindavana.

So you see here, it is NOT just up to Krsna and His promise because the jiva-souls have THEIR choice as well.

And Krsna allows this because he wants the jiva-souls to think for themselves and make their own decisions by having their own choices too otherwise love can not exist.

Another important point to understand.

Not even Krsna will force His will on the jiva-souls, even though He could if He wanted too because He is the cause of all causes.

However if Krsna did force His will on all jiva-souls and made every jiva-soul His puppet who has no free will, then how can their be genuine love as Prabhupada explains, we would just be like stone.

By promising He will NEVER let the jiva-souls fall down into the material creation, can be seen as interfering with the jiva-soul's constitutional sovereignty as an independent free thinking individual jiva-souls.

Free will and the individuality of the jiva-souls allows them to choose to be with Krsna or ignore Him, and yes, Krsna DOES allow this because for love to truly exist, He must always allow free will.

This is because, they too, are entitled to THEIR choice of serving or not serving Krsna.

Krsna will NEVER make that decision for the jiva-soul otherwise one's free will is violated, and there can never be a question of love if not based on free will.

The jiva-souls are always given the right to choose for themselves so they can experience love with Krsna.

Ultimately in the end, it is the jiva soul's choice too and NOT just Krishna's because Krsna ONLY wants loving servants around Him who "choose" through their own free will to serve and love Him.

Not forced to serve Him by saying "once you are in Goloka Vrindavana, NEVER again will you fall down".

No, that is NOT "only" Krsna's call or decision, it is also the jiva's choice to REMAIN there as servant as weĺl.

The relationship between servant and Master is NEVER oneway, it is perpetually relationship based on "reciprocation".

The promise by Krsna that the jiva soul will never again fall down into the material world, is from His side but ultimately it is NOT only Krsna's decision and choice, it is also up to the jiva-souls too otherwise free will has meaning.

After all, each jiva-soul is an independent individual with 78.125% of Krsna's qualities (which is having 50 of Krsna’s 64 attributes)

Each individual jiva-soul never loses their individuality of being a unique PERSON who makes their own chooses.

Krsna never violates the jiva-soul's individual rights by forcibly making choices for them, as Prabhupada explains, if He did then love can never exist.

The jiva-souls MUST decide for themselves to serve Krsna if love truly exists.

So the conclusion is, Krsna does NOT interfere with the jiva soul's free will to make their own choices because Krsna does not want to force the jiva-souls to surrender to Him, if He did then that is NOT love it is exploration and abuse.

Srila Prabhupada  - "In Bengali it is said, ‘If you catch one girl or boy, ‘You love me, you love me, you love me.’ ” Is it love? “You love me, otherwise I will kill you!’ Is that love? So Krsna does not want to become a lover like that, on the point of revolver". (Washington DC July 1976)

What Srila Prabhupada explains below is also a very important point-

Srila Prabhupada - ”So, even in the Vaikuntha, if I desire that ‘Why shall I serve Krsna? Why not become Krsna?’ I immediately fall down.

Vipina Purandara - “Why doesn’t Krsna protect us from that desire?

Srila Prabhupada - “He’s protecting. He says, “You rascal, don’t desire. Surrender unto Me.” But you are rascal; you do not do this”.

Vipina Purandara - “Why doesn’t He save me from thinking like that?"

Why one is called lover, another is called rape?” (July 8, 1976 in Washington, D.C.)***

When chanted the maha-mantra is a petition to God - “O Krishna, O energy of Krishna, please engage me in Your service.”

Harinama harinama harinama eva kevalam

kalau nastyeva nastyeva nastyeva gatir anyatha

‘'In this Age of Kali there is no other means, no other means, no other means for self-realization than chanting the holy name, chanting the holy name, chanting the holy name of Lord Hari.’'

Maha means “great” and mantra means “sacred chant for deliverance.”

Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna

Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare

Hare Rama, Hare Rama

Rama Rama, Hare Hare.

When chanted the maha-mantra is a petition to God -

“O Krishna, O energy of Krishna, please engage me in Your service.”

Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu only comes "once" out of every 1000 Maha-yugas, that ONLY happen in the "day-time" hours of Brahma's 24 hour day.

So again, there are no yuga's during Brahma's night-time hours.

Just to be clear again, the 1000 Maha-yugas happen in Brahma's day-time between "Sunrise and Sunset".

Each Maha-yuga is made up of four yugas, Satya, Treta, Dvarpara and Kali, we are presently in the last yuga,  Kali-yuga that lasts for 432,000 human years.

There are 4 billion 320 million human years in Brahma's day-time hours and 4 billion 320 million human years in Brahma's night-time hours.

This Kali-yuga is very special because Lord Caitanya has come to it in 1486 AD in West Bengal India.*
