Something needs to be maturely cleared up for future generations of devotees and before many of us older devotees pass on.

Srila Prabhupada's knowledge on spiritual matters and Krsna’s pastimes are impeccable and an excellent source of knowledge.

However, when explaining many material conditions and situations, including the Moon landings, the Moons distance from Earth, and people will be forced to live underground by the year 2000 because the air is unbreathable (now 27 years ago now in 2026) it is obvious Prabhupada's personal opinions and sources were questionable and obviously wrong.

How to properly understand this because Prabhupada's denial of the Moon landings will be put to rest once and for all when America, India, Japan and China begin sending maned missions back to the Moon in 2027.

In 1968 this is what Prabhupada said about the beginning of the 21st Century- 

Srila Prabhupada - “By the year 2000, no one will see the light of day, people in Cities will be forced to live underground. They will have artificial light and food, but no sunlight.” (Montreal, Aug 24, 1968)

Srila Prabhupada - "It is suggested in your Almanac, World Almanac, that the next hundred years they will break all these buildings and they will go underground, yes. Because in the atomic age nobody will live on Earth's surface by the year 2000, just 32 years from now. I have read this prediction in the World Almanac. The prediction is there that world, next hundred years, nobody will live on the surface of the earth. Everyone go subway (underground). And when they want some pure air, they’ll come out to see what is the surface of the world. It is suggested. You can read it in Almanac." (Montreal, Aug 24, 1968)

There is no evidence that proves the Moon landings were a hoax and faked. 

Many including Prabhupada are misinformed about the NASA Astronauts landing on the Moon between 1969 and 1972, the evidence is overwhelming it happened as proven by Japan, India, Russia, European Union, China and the United States. 

It is nonsense foolishness to continue this silly idea man never went to the "gross" Moon we see in the sky. 

However, in all fairness to Prabhupada, He was right about the "subtle" heavenly realm on the moon called Chandraloka, unseen by our gross material bodies and modern technology, even though impossible to prove, this is what Prabhupada really meant.

There are many recent photos of the Apollo landing sites from 1969 to 1972 on the Moon taken by the Indian and Japanese space ships. They have already gone back to the Moon in 2026 and circled it, so how can these ignorant (often sentimental) devotees still call it a hoax?
