"Linear time" only exists in the temporary material worlds.
From the perspective of "matter," with its varigatedness and structure, only material time (past, present and future) is linear.
The spiritual worlds are not governed by linear time because time there is known as "the eternal presence" where no decay, decomposition or old age and death exists.
Also the rules of linear time does not apply to the jiva-souls who are made of anti-matter makeing their original home as the spiritual worlds, it only applies to "matter" which includes the material bodily vessels the jiva-souls are in as a passenger while confined to the material worlds.
The anti-material individual jiva-souls CAN travel "outside" of linear time (the material pathway of past, present and future) that the material bodily vessels and the material worlds (Brahmandas) are part and parcel of.
The material body and its surroundings are all made of material energy moved by material time (past, present and future)
The jiva-souls are NOT part of the material energy, they are "anti-matter" beings covered by material energy.
This is because the "jiva-souls" are covered by a material bodily vessel in the material creation.
The jiva-souls are always eternal spiritual beings (anti-matter)
The jiva-souls in their original position or home, lives in Vaikuntha or Goloka Vrindavana and has nothing to do with the material dream creation.
So just like one from above in the sky in a aircraft, one can see the beginning, middle and end of a road, similarly it is possible to see linear time (past, present and future) simultaneously by viewing from above that pathway of past, present and future or beginning, middle and end "outside" of this material body
In Srimad Bhagavatam Canto 4 Chapter 28 Text 53 and Text 55 is explained the jiva-soul's original home with Krsna in either the Vaikuntha planets or Goloka-Vrindavana.
We are not suppose to be in this material creation, or after becoming frustrated with it, merging into the impersonal Brahmajyoti and trying to escape an active existence in the material creation.
Attempting to enter the dormant inactive impersonal Brahmajyoti is considered spiritual suicide to a Vaisnava.
From Srimad Bhagavatam Krsna directly asks the jiva-soul now trapped in the material creation,
"Do you remember Me!"
Therefore, how can you remember what you never knew?
This clearly means we all came from Goloka Vrindavana or Vaikuntha and from there entered the material creation.
As said above, the jiva-souls did not originate from the inactive (impersonal) Brahmajyoti.
The mysterious workings of Maha-Visnu's material creation operates in a way that not even great philosophers, scientists and pandits can understand.
The fact is all material bodily vessels originate from the dreams of Maha-Visnu.
Srila Prabhupada – "All existence in the material world is a dream of Maha-Visnu as the Brahma-Samhita describes-
This material world is created by the dreaming of Maha-Visnu. The real, factual platform is the spiritual world, but when the spirit soul wants to imitate the Supreme Personality of Godhead, he is put into this dreamland of material creation." (SB Canto 4 Ch 29 Text 83)
The jiva-souls (marginal living entities) who choose to the enter the material creation, must go to Maha-Visnu to get a suitable material bodily vessel from the blue-print of His dreams of the material worlds (Brahmandas)
Maha Visnu's dreams of the material creation eternally exist and are for "hire" to all visiting jiva-souls from Vaikuntha or Goloka-Vrindavana.
One in full knowledge sees above the movement of "past, present and future," seeing "time" as an eternal pathway always available to travel through/on by the visiting jiva-souls who "hire" them from Maha-Visnu.
So "Linear time" is the flow of material time (past, present and future) that governs each Brahmanda material universe created by Maha-Visnu, and its inner secondary material universe created by Garbhodakashayi Visnu, all moving at a different speeds of material time.
Brahma's day of 24 hour equals 8 billion 640 million human years on our planet divided into day and night.
The 1000 Maha-yugas all happen only in Brahma's day-time hours that lasting for 4 billion 320 million human years.
Each Maha-yuga has 4 yugas-
1 - Satya-yuga
2 - Treta-yuga
3 - Dvarpara-yuga
4 - Kali-yuga
All bodily vessels in the material creation and their surroundings, are "hired" from Maha-Visnu that are in sync with what the jiva-souls desire.
For Maha-Visnu, He sees that all past, present, and future all exist together simultaneously.
This is like frames on a film canister are seen from the viewpoint of the complete film canister.
The material universes flow through past, present and future is clearly seen.
Like one sees the entire length of a roadway from its beginning to it's end, the jiva-souls can also view their material bodily stages they are in.
Or just like one can re-watch a film on a reel of film.
Srila Prabhupada - "We are not the owner of this body, not the owner of the material senses. The senses are "hired" from the Supreme Lord. This is very subtle understanding; one should know the proprietor of the senses is God." (March 1966, New York City)
All the material bodily vessels in the material creation belong to Maha-Visnu and must be aquired from Him in order to enter the material worlds.
Maha-Visnu also provides all material facilities also to the jiva-souls who can no longer stay in Vaikuntha and Goloka Vrindavana because of their rejection of Krsna or Visnu.
No jiva-soul originate from Maha-Visnu, they only move into His domain and then from there, enter His dreams and hire a material bodily pathway according to their desires in their journey away from Krsna.
There are unlimited material bodily vessels available to the jiva-souls in the material creation originating from Maha-Visnu's dreaming.
The jiva-souls, just like Krsna, were never created and therefore have no origin.
They certainly did not originate from the impersonal Brahmajyoti as fools believe.
Krsna and the jiva-souls, like the Sun-disc and the sun-rays, cannot exist without each other, therefore Krsna and the jiva-souls have always existed and were never created.
The real home of the jiva-souls is not found in the material creation of Maha-Visnu, or in the dormant (inactive) aspect of the Brahmajyoti.
The jiva-souls real and only home has always been originally Goloka Vrindavana.
From there many jiva-souls have voluntary chosen to enter Visnu's Vaikuntha planets to serve the Lord in a four armed form or many other forms there too, others voluntarily choose to remain in Goloka Vrindavana.
Krsna's central abode is Goloka Vrindavana.
So clearly, the genuine home of all the jiva-souls is not the temporary decaying mundane material creation, or being merged inactively (dormant) in the impersonal Brahmajyoti, it is Goloka Vrindavana.
Entering the impersonal brahman or Brahmajyoti is considered spiritual suicide to a Vaisnava devotee of Kṛṣṇa because one is trying to forcibly end or cease their individual active existence, personality and reciprocal relationship with Krsna or Visnu.
From Maha-Visnu's point of view, He sees the movement of material time's past, present and future, from above linear time.
Maha-Visnu sees all His dreams existing simultaneously in the "eternal presence." that He exists in.
Past, present and future is a "material" designation only existing in the material creation, it does not exist in Vaikuntha or Goloka-Vrindavana, only the "eternal presence" exists there.
This means in the material creation there always exists a permanent (continuous) pathway so unlimited visiting jiva-souls can experience.
Srila Prabhupada – "This material creation is the spirit soul’s dream. Actually all existence in the material world is created by the dreaming of Maha-Visnu. The real, factual platform is the spiritual world, but when the spirit soul wants to imitate the Supreme Personality of Godhead, he is put into this dreamland of material creation." (SB Canto 4 Ch 29 Text 83)
Srila Prabhupada – "Everything happening within time, which consists of past, present and future, is merely a dream. This is the secret in understanding in all the Vedic literature." (SB Canto 4 Ch 29 text 2b)
Srila Prabhupada – "Our contact with matter is just like dream. Actually we are not fallen. Therefore, because we are not fallen, at any moment we can revive our Krsna consciousness, we break the dream." (Tokyo Japan 1972 lecture on SB)
Srila Prabhupada – "Factually all of material existence is only a dream. Thus there is no question of past, present or future. Persons who are addicted to karma-kanda-vicara, which means ‘working for future happiness through fruitive activities’, are also dreaming. Similarly, past happiness and present happiness are merely dreams." (SB Canto 4 Ch 29 text 2b)
The material bodily roadway or pathway is where the jiva-souls move from the past, to the present, and then to the future, from its start (birth) to its end (death)
These activities from Maha-Visnu's dreams are a permanent fixture stored above the movement of past, present and future, and always exist like different points on a roadway always exist simultaneously.
Therefore, at any point on the pathway of past, present and future, can be experienced by other jiva-souls who enter that roadway, but can never be changed.
This is simply because Maha-Visnu has already dreamed all realities In His material creation.
Each material bodily pathway is already set in stone from its beginning to its end, this means each material bodily pathway that the visiting jiva-soul travels on, comes from the already dreamed dreams of Maha-Visnu and can only be lived through but never be changed (hence set in stone)
In other words, the visiting jiva-souls who enter the material creation and then "hire" a material bodily "dream" from Maha-Visnu's dreams, will find such dreams are already an established reality from its beginning to its end.
This is why once the jiva-souls have entered one of Maha-Visnu's dreams (material bodily vessels), nothing in that bodily pathway can be changed, unless one leaves that material body and enters an alternative dream (material bodily vessel) pathway of Maha-Visnu.
Actually, every scenario of material bodily forms (pathways) conceivable already exists within the dreams of Maha-Visnu.
Every twist and turn in multiple dimensions one can think of already exists in Maha-Visnu's dreams.
Everything is eternally existing in the dreams of Maha-Visnu that includes all material facilities
As said above, each material bodily pathway is always available and constantly occupied by a flow of other visiting jiva-souls who have also chosen to enter that pathway in the temporary material creation.
Linear-time is the movement from past to present, and then to the future. Linear time is the pathway of past, present and future that moves through the space-time of the material creation.
In other words, linear-time is where time is seen sequentially, as a series of events that are unfolding along a pathway, it's beginning, middle and end.
By seeing the entire journey on a long winding roadway all at once, one sees where the road began, its middle and its end.
This is seeing above linear time. (the flow from past to present to future)
Maha-Visnu and rare yogis and devotees can see above the flow of linear time, just like one sees an entire roadway from above in a plane or helicopter, where one sees its beginning, middle and end, all at the same time.
All material bodily vessels the jiva-souls possess are chosen from Maha-Visnu's unlimited volt of dreams that are His collection of material bodily vessels that the jiva-souls can choose from, that are simultaneously in sync with the visiting jiva-soul's desires and lived out in linear time (the past, present and future of the material creation)
All material bodily vessels are like costumes "hired out" constantly from the costume shop owner Maha-Visnu to the visiting jiva-souls (from Vaikuntha and Goloka Vrindavana)
The jiva-soul's desires (choices and expressions initiated by free will) are factored in before the jiva-souls are given a particular material bodily vessel (pathway) to enter the material creation.
However, free will only partially exists in while in the material creation and only in the human species of life.
Free will does not exist in lower species of life, there is only the urges of eating, sleeping, mating and defending.
Maha-Visnu sees all, beginning, middle and end of all material bodily vessels because He is God and knows past, present and future.
All material bodily vessels always remain the dreams of Maha-Visnu and always belong to Him.
Such material vessels can only be "hired" off Maha-Visnu.
However, there is always free will but the paradox here is each material bodies destiny that the visiting jiva-souls experience, is already mapped out within the dreams of Maha-Visnu explained above, but in a way where free will is also now factored into the bodily vessel's journey.
So free will is factored into the equation in such a way that the free will of each jiva-soul is not affected by each material bodily vessels pathway (journey) already known by Maha-Visnu.
Free will always exists in the spiritual worlds that allows the jiva-souls to except or even reject Krsna by choosing to leave Krsna's association if they decide.
Such freedom must be there if love is to truly exist in Vaikuntha and Goloka Vrindavana, the jiva-souls must have the right to do reject Krsna which actually proves they really do have free will.
Having free will is the constitutional make nd if it didn't, then there would be no free will.
This is why it is nonsense that big, big sannyasi and gurus foolishly claim once entering the spiritual worlds, the jiva-souls will never again fall down, even if they want to.
No, they can fall down again if they choose and such fall downs have nothing to do with maya (material energy) because maya does not exist in Vaikuntha and Goloka-Vrindavana.
The cause of fall down is simply free will in most cases, unless there is some offense to a devotee like what the two gate keepers of Vaikuntha did to the four Kumaras.
However, their fall down was lila and had nothing to do with others who choose to leave and try to live without Krsna in the material creation.
Those who claim the jiva-souls will never again fall down to the material creation, are speaking nonsense because there is always a chance of fall down because of free will.
Even though over 90% choose to never fall down, there are still less than 10% that do choose to again leave Vaikuntha and enter the material creation.
The fact is maya or material energy does not exist in Vaikuntha or Goloka Vrindavana (The Kingdom of God).
The choice to leave Vaikuntha or Goloka Vrindavana is possible because Krsna allows a two-way exchange, this means one can accept or reject Krsna if they choose to do so.
Srila Prabhupada - "Free will means that you can act wrongly. That is free will. Unless there is chance of doing wrong or right, there is no question of free will. Where is free will then? If I act only one sided, that means I have no free will. Because we act sometimes wrongly, that means free will."
Hayagriva - "A man may know better but still act wrongly."
Srila Prabhupada -"Yes, but that is free will. He misuses his. Just like a thief, he knows that his stealing, it is bad, but still he does it. That is free will. He cannot check his greediness, so in spite of his knowing that he is doing wrong thing—he will be punished, he knows; he has seen another thief, he was punished, he was put into prison— everything he knows, but still he steals. Why? Misuse of free will. Unless there is misuse of free will, there is no question of free will." (Excerpt from: Philosophy Discussions with Srila Prabhupada – Rene Descartes)
Srila Prabhupada – "So everyone can know that independence means one can use it properly, or one can misuse it. That is independence. If you make it one way only, that is not independence, that is force." (Los Angeles, June 23, 1975)
Srila Prabhupada – "You have got little independence therefore you can violate. Because you are part and parcel of God you have got independence, proportionately, therefore if he'd likes he can return. That independence has to be accepted, little independence. We can misuse that."(Conversation, Mayapur, Feb 19, 1976)
There is no such thing as eternal reoccurrence going on in material nature where the material creation repeats itself.
We only see it that way because of viewing and experiencing everything through the passage of past, present and future.
But no, the over all material creation is not like that at all.
What is really constantly "there" in the fabric of the material creation, are permanent pathways or roadways (bodily vessels) that is moved through by the jiva-souls through each section of the roadway which always remains as a blue-print.
This allows a constant flow of other jiva-souls to traverse that same roadway experiencing the journey of that material bodily vessel pathway.
These philosophical points are not easy understood.
To understand all this one must see the bigger picture above the movement of past, present and future.
These "bodily roadways" are a permanent fixtures with the dreams of Maha-Visnu.
Each dream is expressed as past, present and future that the jiva-souls experience.
But seeing from above past, present and future, the roadway is always there taking the jiva-souls from birth to youth to middle age to old and finally death (the end of the roadway)
From Maha-Visnu's dreams that are a feature and fixture of each material universe that the individual jiva-souls can enter and pass along from past to present, to future.
The fact is, all material bodily vessels are the dreams of Maha-Visnu, and from above the movement of past, present and future, are a permanent fixture in the material creation, always remains the dreams of Maha-Visnu.
This means visiting jiva-souls can experience those dreams, like one moves on a roadway or pathway that always remains there for other travellers to pass along.
Another way of looking at this-
Just like in society there exists fancy dress shops where one can go and lease out costumes to experience a particular play (material reality)
Similarly in the material creation every material bodily vessel conceivable exists within Maha-Visnu's fancy dress shop of material costumes (His dreams) that one can "hire" from Maha-Visnu.
All such realities, pathways, bodily vessels all come from Maha-Visnu's dreams and are available to all visiting jiva-souls who choose to enter the material creation.
Therefore each time the material universe again manifests, a different batch of jiva-souls enters those pathways of material bodily costumes the jiva-souls wears/and passes through.
In other words, just like the costumes in a fancy dress hire rental shop, all material bodily vessels in the material universe are "hired" to the jiva-souls who have chosen to enter the material creation.
Therefore, each material bodily costume (vessel) is a permanent roadway coming from Maha-Visnu's volt of dreams that provide the jiva-soul's the experiences of moving through past, present and future and experiencing birth, youth, disease, old age and death.
All material vessels or costumes always remain the property of Maha-Visnu's dreams and are only "hired out" to the visiting jiva-souls who choose to enter the material creation. At all times they always remain the property of Maha-Visnu.
The cycle of decay and renewal, birth and death in this temporary material existence continues on eternally, with a continuous flow of individual jiva-souls experiencing the pathway of each material bodily vessel (the dreams of Maha-Visnu)
There is always free will because without free will the jiva-souls are no better than dead stone.
As said above, each pathway always remains the same as a "hired out" dream from Maha-Visnu, where the jiva-souls experiences birth, childhood, disease, old age and death as they move along that pathway in a material bodily vessel.
Each time the jiva-soul, who is now presently confined to this material universe, travels through the movement of past, present and future, it seems to repeats itself with a different batch of jiva-souls who also enter the same pathways of material bodily vessels provided by Maha-Visnu's dreams.
This means the material creation created by Maha-Visnu, is always the exact same material creation, but only seems it is changing because of the movement of material time (past, present and future)
Within each material bodily vessel, exists a different individual jiva-soul playing that part, different from the previous jiva-souls who played that exact same roll in the previous point on that roadway's journey through past present and future.
The material bodily vessels are a fixed fabric of the material universes past, present and future and there is no repetition going on.
In other words past, present and future, like the beginning, middle and end of a roadway, are existing all together at the same time.
Just like one can see that entire roadway from above existing at its beginning, middle and end.
The jiva-souls (anti-matter) are NOT the material bodily vessel they are in, they are the passenger in that material body on that roadway that is "hired" from Maha-Visnu's dreams.
As said above, the material bodily vessel is only a garment covering the jiva-soul who is the passenger in that outer garment or material body.
One's relationship with Krsna is never impersonal, nor did the jiva-souls originate from some nonsense impersonal beginning (impersonal Brahmajyoti)
The word "tatastha-sakti" refers to the marginal living entities (jiva-souls) in their "fallen conditional state" in both the material creation and dormant in the impersonal Brahmajyoti.
Srila Prabhupada - "So this material world is the taṭastha (conditioned) characteristics, and the spiritual worlds are the personal (Vaikuntha) characteristics." (New York City, Dec 28, 1966)
In other words, tatastha-sakti is a "fallen conditioned designation" of the "fallen" jiva-soul.
Tatastha-sakti describes the "conditiones state" of those jiva-souls who have entered the material creation, and later when in the impersonal Brahmajyoti.
But NOT those jiva-souls already in Vaikuntha and Goloka Vrindavana.
It is important to understand that the jiva-souls have many different names describing their position and condition, and tatastha-sakti is one of those names describing the jiva-souls fallen conditioned state in the Brahmajyoti.
The jiva-souls (marginal potency) were not created from an impersonal "clear sheet of consciousness" either.
This is because they have always existed everywhere (sarva-gatah means life has always existed everywhere)
Bhagavad Gita confirms the jiva-souls were never created and have no origin, and exist within infinity-
Bhagavad Gita - "For the soul there is never birth nor death. Nor, having once been, does he ever cease to be. He is unborn, eternal, ever-existing, undying and primeval. He is not slain when the body is slain." (BG Ch 2 Text 12)
The jiva-souls may fall to an inactive or dormant state (the impersonal Brahmajyoti), but they certainly did not originate from there.
Even entering the impersonal Brahmajyoti or Brahman is also only temporary relief for the jiva-souls as explained above, who entered there to escape the suffering and pain of being embodied in the material world in the cycle of repeated birth and death.
The marginal living entities or marginal plane is a collective of unlimited eternal jiva-souls without any beginning point, who are spread throughout the entire spiritual sky (both spiritual worlds and material worlds)
Those jiva-souls who have made the choice to enter the temporary decomposing material creation, can later, due to the frustration of material life, enter an inactive dormant state within the Brahmajyoti (the impersonal dormant aspect of Brahman)
In fact the fallen jiva-soul can stay in the impersonal Brahmajyoti for a very, very, very long time, so long a time that some foolishly believe it is where they originated from after emerging from there.
The dormant inactive aspect of the Brahmajyoti is not the origin of the jiva-souls, it is actually a fallen state they enter.
The fact is, the individual jiva-souls do not originate from anywhere including the impersonal Brahmajyoti.
This is because they are eternal and have always existed as part and parcel of the marginal plane of Krsna's energies (sakti) who are individual living entities spread throughout the entire spiritual Sky (material and spiritual worlds)
The way the jiva-souls first entered the material creation, is they came down from the Vaikuntha planets or Goloka Vrindavana, mostly by choice (free will)
Revatīnandana - "Srila Prabhupāda you very clearly explained to me once in a letter that if the jiva-soul then goes into the brahmajyoti, he is considered still fallen. Still fallen. Does that means the whole brahmajyoti is composed of fallen souls? You see my question? If I go there, I'm a jīva-soul, and I go to the brahmajyoti I'm still fallen."
Srila Prabhupāda - "Yes."
Revatīnandana - "That means all jīva-souls there are also fallen souls?"
Srila Prabhupāda - "Yes, existence in the impersonal brahman is also within the category of non-Krsna consciousness. Those who are in the brahman effulgence are also in the fallen condition, so there is no question of falling down from a fallen condition." (Letter to: Revatinandana, Los Angeles 13 June, 1970 and Conversation Aug 17, 1971, London)
Srila Prabhupada - "When fall takes place, it means falling down from the non-fallen condition. The non-fallen condition is Krsna consciousness." (Letter to: Revatinandana, Los Angeles 13 June, 1970)
In the jiva-souls original position they have the same bodily features like Krsna, sat-cit-ananda-vigraha.
The jiva-souls are eternal person without any beginning point, nor will they ever cease to be as Bhagavad Gita As It Is teaches.
Prabhupada says in the first record Album he made in New York in December 1966, that we are all originally Krsna conscious entities.
The jiva-souls are not originally from an impersonal or inactive clear state of consciousness, or some impersonal spark in Krsna's effulgence.
Those inactive dormant conditions are a fallen condition of the jiva-souls who have long, long ago chose to leave Vaikuntha or Goloka Vrindavana.
The marginal potency isn’t a place where the jiva-souls came from either. The marginal platform is a eternal collective of individual jiva-souls spread throughout the spiritual sky.
The marginal living entities (jiva-souls) are an unlimited number of individual persons with the following qualities-
sat,
chit,
ananda,
vigraha.
This means in English that Krsna and the individual jiva-souls are-
eternity,
Knowledge,
bliss,
bodily spiritual form.
The original feature of the individual jiva-soul is a bodily form like Krsna Prabhupada has said, having two arms, two legs etc.
This spiritual bodily svarupa form is the jiva-soul's full potential in their original Spiritual position (rasa) in Goloka-Vrindavana.
Devotee – "Is the original body of the spirit soul a human form?"
Srila Prabhupada – "Yes, human form. God is also human form. "Man is made after the shape of God." I think there is in the Bible. Is it not? So God is also like human form. Here you see Krsna, two hands, two legs."
Hari-sauri – "How do we understand, then, that there are peacocks and flowers and trees in the spiritual world? Are these not eternal forms?"
Srila Prabhupada – [describing material form first]: Yes, they are more covered. Just like if you cover your body with blanket, the hands and legs are invisible. But you are not the blanket. So the trees and plants, they are more covered. They are not in full manifestation. The human form is the full manifestation of the soul."
Hari-sauri - "They are covered in the spiritual world?"
Srila Prabhupada - "Not in the spiritual world. There that is voluntary. Some devotee wants to serve Krsna as flower; then they become flower there. If I want to be a flower I shall lie down at the lotus feet of Krsna, he becomes flower, voluntarily, and he can change from flower to human body. That is spiritual life. There is no restriction. If some devotee wants to serve Krsna as cow, he serves Krsna as cow, as calf, as flower, as plant, as water, as ground, field, or as father, as mother, as friend, as beloved, anything. It is inconceivable, yet a fact." (SB Canto 6.1.1-4 - Melb, May 20, 1975)
Srila Prabhupada - "We have also come down from Vaikuntha some millions and millions of years ago." (Lecture on BG, Aug 6, 1973)
Srila Prabhupada - "These spirit souls and all spirit souls are coming from Vaikuntha." (Letter to Jagadisa das, 1970)
Some of Krsna's marginal living entities (jiva-souls) fall further to becoming dormant in Krsna's effulgence known as the impersonal Brahmajyoti or Brahman.
Impersonalists who are fed up existing as a person, desire to be bodiless, inactive and dormant in that conditioned state in the impersonal Brahmajyoti.
This is because they are already fallen and have long, long ago forgotten their original two armed spiritual bodily form in Goloka Vrindavana, or four armed form on the Vaikuntha planets.
They are there so long that they believe the impersonal Brahmajyoti is their original home.
Only in the fallen conditioned state can the jiva-souls merge as individual inactive bodiless unit in the impersonal Brahmajyoti collective of dormant individual jiva-souls.
The nature of the jiva-souls is to be always active and not inactive. Therefore merging into the impersonal Brahmajyoti is artificial and suicidal nonsense.
The jiva-souls are perpetually endowed with free will expressed fully in the spiritual worlds only.
Being marginal (jiva-soul) means Krsna's separated living entities who have free will.
Therefore, there is always free will on all the spiritual planets including Goloka Vrindavana, meaning one can leave anytime they want because of that free will.
So, if we came to this material world due to our choice to reject Krsna, that does not mean we had to know what all other options for us were.
Our desires are still there but centred around ourselves instead of Krsna.
Srila Prabhupada – "You have got little independence therefore you can violate. Because you are part and parcel of God you have got independence, proportionately, therefore if he likes he can return. That independence has to be accepted, little independence. We can misuse that." (Conversation, Mayapur, Feb 19, 1976)
Can we predict that returning back home back to Godhead will be permanent? Can we predict that?
Syamasundara - "Can we predict that returning back home back to Godhead will be permanent? Can we predict that? Just like many prisoners leave the prison, however, some do come back?''
Srila Prabhupada - "No, there is no permanent effect because we have got little independence. There is nothing permanent because you can misuse your independence at any time."
Syamasundara - "And some come back?"
Srila Prabhupada - "Yes, otherwise there is no meaning of independence. Independence means you can do this, you can do that. "All right. Whatever you like."
Devotee - "Then he is so many times falling down, again and again, so will he eventually permanently come back?"
Srila Prabhupada - "He has got independence, therefore there is always the possibility he can misuse his independence, he CAN fall down. That's why when a man is released from the prison house, that does not mean permanently because he can come back again, the general law is not to come back, but if he likes, he can come back, otherwise what is the meaning of independence? Just like one becomes free from the prison house, naturally he should not go there again." (Discussions with Syamasundara > Henri Bergson)
